Great kit, but one small improvement is needed...

The price of this kit is great, and the device works perfectly - I had it going in minutes. The heat sinks are a nice touch, but I gave this kit four stars for including thermal paste rather than thermal epoxy or double sided tape. With just the paste, the heat sinks can just slide around or fall off during transport.

I was hesitant to purchase this as some people said it did not come with the Raspberry Pi 3B but mine came exactly as described. There are other single board computers that have better specs than the Raspberry Pi 3B but in my opinion the Pi is the best because of the user base and support. Specs don’t mean anything if you can’t get it to do what you want it to do. I have used these for many projects and especially love them for Retropie. This is a decent starter package and saves you a few bucks over purchasing all the components separately. My only complaint is the power supply doesn’t have an in line power shut off which is nice because there is no power switch on the Pi itself.

A good kit if you don't need an SD card

I think this kit is pretty good, and met my use case almost perfectly.

The case is pretty good, and I had no issues with it (though I see others who didn't like the case). I had no issue using the GPIO pins with this case, and while it was a little tricky to get everything together, once put together it seems pretty solid.

The heat sinks and thermal grease work fine. Once in the case, it was easy to apply the grease and press the sinks on. Since the case has cut outs for the sinks, they stay in place pretty well.

The power supply is fine. It's not necessary unless you are using lost of peripherals (which I am not), but it is nice to know I have a true 2.5A power supply if I need it.

The only thing this kit was really missing was an SD card, but I have several sitting around here already, so I welcomed the savings.

Purchased on sale, this kit with all the extras only a few dollars more than a pi by itself.

I have been meaning to buy raspberry every since first it came out but I wasn't tech savvy back then I think I am now. And I also realized all the other stuff I can do with it. By the way this is my first purchase of raspberry or any diy android kit. I wanna turn this one into android tv to watch all iptv as I recently go rid of my tv and cable plans. so I am still in planning stages of how to install kodi or plex on this and use it as dvr as well as iptv. will keep you guys updated on how this turns out to be!

Great kit, love the case

I already had a ton of samsung SD cards and HDMI cables, so I went with kit 1. Had everything you need to get going. The heatsinks are much better than those heatsinks with the 3m stick on pads and I love the case. Perfect fit, easy assembly and the 3 piece assembly is a nice touch for versatility. It even has a hole perfect for mounting.

The Raspberry Pi, which is the whole reason to get the starter kit, was missing! I don't understand how this could happen, but looking at other experiences, this is not an isolated incident. Maybe certain sellers can't put a complete kit together or maybe it's the source of the product that's doing the shorting of kits.
