While not quite as good as salt, to me, the "taste" is outstanding when taking into consideration that the product is sodium free...a great benefit. I LOVE salt...but must avoid adding sodium to my diet since most products already have significant amounts of sodium. Nu-Salt is an acceptable substitute and continues to grow on me...making NOT using salt much easier.

I love salt NaCl - sodium chloride. My doctor said that blood pressure can be negatively affected by too much salt in the diet. If you read the ingredients in a lot of packages of food you will find sodium (i.e., salt) is often way up there in content. I like to salt my food so when I tried this substitute, I could only detect a slight difference in taste from the basic stuff in our shaker. I thought it would be blah but I was very much mistaken - it's helping me keep my BP at target and my taste buds happy. It is now a permanent part of our condiment selection.

It has a sweeter taste than the Morton's salt substitute, and I prefer it's taste when sprinkled on already cooked food. However, like most online reviews say, it doesn't season as well when used in cooking. For that I'm still using the Morton's Salt Substitute.
