brad nail, 1 inch, 18 gauge, glue collated

18 Gauge Brad Nails and 18 Gauge ¼” Narrow Crown Staples

With the convenience of a brad nailer and a stapler in one, the S2-118G2 is a must-have tool for homeowners. The magazine has been designed to accommodate brads from 3/8" to 2" and narrow crown staples from 1/2" to 1-5/8", so you can easily switch between the two fasteners depending on the job. Brad nails are easy to hide thanks to the thin 18 gauge diameter and a small head, and it's easy to work with delicate pieces of wood without any splitting. The narrow crown staples have a 1/4" crown, which is great for holding power without the larger crown of other staples. Whatever fastener you need, we have the right one for you!

Just to clarify some things: This product will take standard 18 gauge brad nails from 3/8" all the way up to 2" in length. It will take staples from 1/2" all the way up to 1 5/8" in length. The staples have to be 18 gauge NARROW CROWN STAPLES which are 1/4" wide. Something to consider if you need to shoot staples that are wider than 1/4". The operating pressure needs to be between 70 and 110 psi.

I have used this item a few times now and it has functioned perfectly each time. If you are like me and just doing things around the house like nailing molding or stapling simple projects I don't think you can beat this nailer/stapler for the price. I am very satisfied with it and would recommend it to anyone for around the house use. It is well built and I believe I'll be able to get years of good use out of it. Can't think of any good reason you should spend more money unless you need a professional grade product for a specific reason.

It"s a must have nailer for a home. I was not sure about the quality of this product becasue the other brand name nailers are selling twice as expensive as this one. But I decided to buy because people were writing nice reviews about this product. I used this to frame a small attic doors and windows. It worked flawlessly. You can't go wrong with this nailer. I recommend this to all of the home owners.

and sometimes you get more out of what you pay for. I used this to install chair rail and crown molding in my baby's room. It worked way better than I expected. There is an adjustment for depth which is nice but in order for that work properly you also need to apply the same amount of air pressure as well as hand pressure when pressing this against whatever you're nailing. I used a finishing nail punch to drive in nails that didn't quite make in all the way. This was of no fault to the gun but my inconsistent use of the gun. It made my job take a couple minutes longer but in the end I was extremely happy to show off the finished product to my wife as well friends when they come over. It made my project affordable and easy. I haven't been able to use the stapler part of it but I love that I have it as an option. As I start more projects around the house I'm sure to some use out it it. By the way...be careful of nail sizes. A lot of nails that are listed the same length in inches are not all the same in metric...so not all 2 inch nails are the same and some may not fit. I used Bostitch 2 inch nails without a problem. I purchased this to save me time assembling 10 beehive boxes and 80 frames...Due to the price and good reviews I was hoping for the best since I had limited time to get this done...amazon as usual shipped it out quick....I was ready to go and had everything assembled in record time! Like literally finished up and went to pick up the bees lol...I needed a nailer and stampler which this worked amazingly for both...Considering what I would have had to pay at the local stores this was a fraction of the price and it was the same brand I had looked at locally...This was my first time using this kind of tool but it was simple and easy to get going...Worth every penny!

This works very well, and I've done all of the trim in my remodeled kitchen and bathroom with it, plus some other projects. I've not had a single jam with it. I have taken one star off for its tendency to leave a "dimple" when brad nailing. This is an inherent problem with a combo nailer and stapler. Its "hammer" has to be as wide as the staples, so when you brad nail, it has a tendency to leave a mark on the wood as wide as a staple. But it's not inevitable. I've found that if I angle the nailer slightly to its left side so that its right side is just a bit further from the surface of the wood that its left side (which is pressed right against the wood), it won't leave a dimple. You need to get the hang of it, though. I found this a small inconvenience, though, compared to the convenience of having a nailer and stapler right at hand in one tool.

What can you say about a cheap nail gun other than it shoots nails real good. Wish there was a little more control of how far the nail shoots into the wood but with a few test nails all is good. It's inexpensive and quite easy to use. Definitely the gun for the occasional user.

Never understood the brad or staple only guns. This works with a variety of sizes. Havent had a jam yet.
Light weight
Adjustable air exhaust ( nice to reposition the exhaust when working in corners)
Easy front opening for clearing out any staple jams.
built in quick connect with dust cap over intake (often a simple thing like this can mean dirt, debris, water, bugs getting into the hole and the next time you start using it the thing is messed up.)

FYI: Cheap staples or brads with poor or old glue will often times be the culprit for jams.

Great nailer for the money. I used it to drive about 75 brads in a day installing wainscot in my dining room. The nailer worked flawlessly and drove the nails in great. I used about 90PSI and didn't have to adjust the depth setting from its factory setting. I used 1" brads and only had to tap in a few to sink them before filling in the tiny holes. I haven't tried it with staples, but if it works this great with brads, I'm sure it'll do great with staples as well. Well worth the money, even more.
