What Size Compressor Should You Use?
To get the best performance, make sure your compressor meets these requirements:
- Minimum 2.5 CFM @ 90 PSI
- Tank capacity of at least 3 gallons
- Provides 60-110 PSI
- The faster you use the nailer, the more power you need!
Numax 18 Gauge 2-in-1 Brad Nailer & Stapler
If you've been using a hammer or a hand stapler, it's time to upgrade. This 2-in-1 tool is lightweight, but it's more than powerful enough to get the job done. Put your new tool to the test and get started installing trim, light wire fencing, base boards, picture frames, crates, window casings, cabinetry, and any other projects you can think of.
- 2-in-1 Brad Nailer & Stapler
- Air Tool Oil
- Hex Wrenches
- 1 Year Limited Warranty
- 30 Day Wearable Parts Warranty
Step 1: Connect to Compressor
Set your compressor to 60 PSI and use your air hose's quick-connect fitting to connect your tool. If you need to, you can safely increase the pressure up to 110 PSI.
Put a few drops of oil into the fitting before connecting to a compressor to keep things running smoothly!
Step 2: Load Fasteners
Squeeze the latch at the back of the magazine and pull back.
Staples go on the middle bar of the magazine. Brad nails sit in the bottom groove on the left side.
Squeeze the back lever and push the magazine closed. Release the lever to secure your fasteners.
Step 3: Make Adjustments
Change the firing depth using the wheel on the right side - clockwise increases depth, counterclockwise decreases it. The fastener should sit flush to your finished surface.
The 360º air exhaust can be rotated to keep air from blowing in your face. Or, use it to blow debris away from your workspace!
Step 4: Test and Go!
Now is the time to fine-tune your PSI and to practice firing. If the nailer is leaving a large dent in your work surface, lower your PSI or adjust the driving depth.
Pro Tip: Use a piece of scrap material to test out your nailer before starting on the real thing!
18 Gauge Brad Nails and 18 Gauge ¼” Narrow Crown Staples
With the convenience of a brad nailer and a stapler in one, the S2-118G2 is a must-have tool for homeowners. The magazine has been designed to accommodate brads from 3/8" to 2" and narrow crown staples from 1/2" to 1-5/8", so you can easily switch between the two fasteners depending on the job. Brad nails are easy to hide thanks to the thin 18 gauge diameter and a small head, and it's easy to work with delicate pieces of wood without any splitting. The narrow crown staples have a 1/4" crown, which is great for holding power without the larger crown of other staples. Whatever fastener you need, we have the right one for you!

Adjustable air exhaust ( nice to reposition the exhaust when working in corners)
Easy front opening for clearing out any staple jams.
built in quick connect with dust cap over intake (often a simple thing like this can mean dirt, debris, water, bugs getting into the hole and the next time you start using it the thing is messed up.)
FYI: Cheap staples or brads with poor or old glue will often times be the culprit for jams.
Two little ticks that I noticed....and they aren't anything that I would knock off a star for....but I couldn't seem to load a full rack of staples without breaking them apart first. Maybe I just didn't know the exact way to mount the middle bar without hitting other pieces of the mechanism or I just didn't want to force them on the rail. The other small thing is, again maybe it was the the way I expected it to work instead of a real issue is that the brad/staple receiver closing apparatus didn't fully close unless I pressed down on the release lever. Again maybe I didn't want to use enough force to close it as I am just used to slamming the door shut. Regardless this turned out to be a very handy addition to my tools.
I have used this item a few times now and it has functioned perfectly each time. If you are like me and just doing things around the house like nailing molding or stapling simple projects I don't think you can beat this nailer/stapler for the price. I am very satisfied with it and would recommend it to anyone for around the house use. It is well built and I believe I'll be able to get years of good use out of it. Can't think of any good reason you should spend more money unless you need a professional grade product for a specific reason.
