Product Description

Grape seed extract is a natural plant constituent (ployphenols, including flavanols proanthocyanidin, also know as OPC) which strengthens and protects living tissue. It strengthen blood vessels, improves skin, and aids in circulation. Proanthocyanidins have been sold as nutritional and therapeutic supplements in Europe. It is the principal vasoactive polyphenols in red wine which is linked to a reduced risk of coronary heart disease and to lower overall mortality. Its antioxidant capabilities are more powerful than Vitamin C and Vitamin E. Poranthocyanidins antioxidant activity plays a role in the stabilization of collagen and maintenance of elastin, two critical proteins in connective tissue that support organs, joins, blood vessels, and muscle. 1/20 teaspoon of the powder is about 100mg (it is about 95mg potent of polyphenols --proanthocyanidins).

This stuff is great ...you take about 200 - 300mg daily, great for cardiovascular health, veins and arteries, and revitalizes and improves the look and elasticity of the skin, tone of muscles and connective tissues in the body, and great for arthritis and rheumatism. I feel much healthier since taking it and I feel I've got a lot more physical and mental vitality, and I've only started a few days ago with 1/20 of a teaspoon a day mixed with a glass of juice (I like it with a mixture of orange and cranberry juice). What is written above in the description all seems to be true, as friends who have been taking it in capsule form ($40 for 200 capsules of 100mg) report similar results, only this powder is much cheaper (doing the calculations ...this will last you for 2 years with plenty to share with others... at a fraction (1/100th) of the cost of normal capsules..) I recommend it highly.

If you are really sick lick i was, start at only 100mg daily, after a week do that two, then three times a day. eventually you can tolerate more and more without it making you as sick (Herxheimer reaction) and simultaneously giving you greater benefits. but make sure to take breaks to clear tolerance and retain the benefits the benificial qualities. I strongly recommend this product for those with digestive tract and organ inflammation as well, and for the elderly. I went up to 6 grams a day at some points, but i have a severe case of lyme disease.

Even taking very high amounts, this bag lasted me a whole year of better health.

Good day!

I got this, plus (from another bulk dealer) 250g of Red Wine Extract (50% polyphenols) and 250g Pine Bark Extract, so a KILO of highly concentrated mixed OPCs for about 9 pennies per gram.

If you do a search for "All Nature Super OPC Plus" here in Amazon, you'll see a very comparable, well-reviewed capsuled product for a nice price, meaning 38 pennies per gram, which is still way cheaper per gram of OPCs than these snotty glitzy "drink mixes" (gawd, what a rip-off!).

Mix these powders together in the same proportion (2:1:1) by weight using a good scale in batches of a few ounces. Just put the measured powders in a jar and shake nice and easy for a couple minutes. Here's the beauty of doing it this way: you don't have to capsule this mixed powder. That's why crooks want to sell you "drink mix." This powder tastes just fine mixed into fruit juice or even just water. It reminds me of black tea: mildly bitter and astringent, with a tannin-like flavor ("OPCs" are in fact oligomeric, a.k.a. "condensed" flavone "tannins" / "tannins" is the old term that included them). These pure blended tannins don't dissolve well, though, so to make "drink mix" just mix them into a large quantity of highly soluble powder. Sugar will work. I use inulin (the polysaccharide equivalent of OPCs; dirt cheap). Inositol would also work. In other words, you can get creative with this part of the formula.

As for the shelf life issue A) don't let any of these companies screw you by selling you old stuff. They know better. You want ≤6 months old. If they do that and won't make it right, don't ever buy from them again and SPREAD THE WORD; B) put the powders in good airtight jars and keep them in the freezer. This will stretch the usual shelf life (two years) by several times. Shelf life?

Remember no more than 1/8th of a teaspoon. It is very bitter. I mix it with orange juice and mix with a couple of other powders I take in only a small amount of juice and than drink it fast about 3-4 ounces in a shaker I bought off of amazon also. If you will read up on this powder you will find that it truly loads of benefits.

EXCELLENT!!! My M.D. recommended it. 1/8 tsp does the same thing as one of those so called full servings of other (very) higher priced products. If you want a capsule form, a person can do that himself and save big bucks. Great Product!

Great stuff. Grape seed extract is one of the most important supplements everybody should take. I love the bulk powder its way more economical than the capsules the only issue is how to get the powder down your throat without vomiting. Grape seed is extremely bitter and chalky. Ive found the easiest way is to put about a 1/4 teaspoon in a cup of flavored hot herbal tea. That's all I can tolerate without it tasting bad or getting sick to my stomach

I was in almost constant pain from inflammation. I used a different grapeseed extract in the past to recover from a spider bite. It worked so well that I decided to try it with my current pain, most likely due to arthritis. I take 1/4 tsp or so blended with fruit juice (you almost have to use a machine -- it does not mix easily) every day. The difference is incredible. If I miss a day (busy, traveling, etc.), I feel it right away. Highly recommended!!!
