About the Author

About Barbara Billig: This novel comes after several other books Barbara has written. Currently updated and in print is her first novel, “The Nuclear Catastrophe,” which was written before the Fukushima nuclear disaster. It portrays what could happen...and eventually…did when an earthquake occurred damaging a nuclear plant. Set in Southern California this story is told from the viewpoint of the local residents of a small town. They all have choices to make when they are caught in in the terror and confusion after a nuclear explosion - choices that have consequences for the rest of their lives. Several years later she wrote a sequel called, “ #Betrayal”, which follows up on the aftermath of the Fukushima nuclear disaster. Betrayals are portrayed within the highest levels of government officials and the simple level of friends betraying friends. Japan is trying hide what has really happened and the subsequent danger to the world. Their mafia, the Yakuza, is making demands as they invested the money to build the forty plus nuclear plants now shuttered after the disaster. And the U.S. is involved, trying to give aid, trying to protect its citizens. Again, the diverse characters representing these different groups are woven together into a story of intrigue, highlighted by greed, lies, murder, and power struggles. The books are available through Amazon.com. For more information visit http://www.barbarabillig.com/ About Michelle McKeeth: I am a avid reader who trips over errors, especially the obvious ones. I have an extensive background in proofreading and editing, both in the capacity as a Print Buyer for a wholly owned subsidiary of Aetna, in the Mental Health Industry, and as an English student. I received my degree in English at the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City. I spent seven years as a Print Buyer, editing anything from internal stationary to 50 page benefits brochures for Fortune 500 companies. I also created many internal forms for our Case Workers use, with an eye to the legalities of statements made by our company. More recently, I edited Barbara Billig's book, “#Betrayal”, a nuclear fiction novel of survival. My next book will be about the New Madrid fault and how a nuclear meltdown brought about the worst earthquake in history! Thank you, and have a wonderful day. http://michellemckeeth.wordpress.com/ Email us at : BarbaraandMichelle@gmail.com
