Pio Moa es suficientemente conocido en España por haber escrito libros sobre la Guerra Civil como Los orígenes de la guerra civil española (1999), Los mitos de la guerra civil (2003), etc., los cuales plantean una profunda revisión de la interpretación izquierdista dominante en los orígenes de la joven democracia española. A pesar del éxito indiscutible en las ventas de tales libros, el establishment mediático y cultural actualmente dominante, estrechamente unido a la desprestigiada y corrupta clase política, sigue negándole sectariamente el pan y la sal. De Pio Moa he leído recientemente el libro Nueva Historia de España (La Esfera de los Libros, Madrid, 2010), en el que se propuso ofrecer una revisión de la entera Historia de España. El libro es voluminoso (más de 900 páginas) y, necesariamente, de carácter generalista. En él procura Moa, entre otras cosas, limpiar la Historia de España de las exageraciones e infundios de la llamada Leyenda Negra y a la vez abrir un juicio más realista y ponderado sobre figuras de la Historia Mundial como Felipe II, atrapado entre la rebelión protestante y la amenaza turca en medio del comienzo de una economía global que se abre paso con su famoso Imperio donde no se ponía el Sol.

Pero lo más característico del libro nos parece la exposición de la Historia de España en relación con la Historia del resto de Europa, dividiendo sus periodos al modo vitalista de Spengler, en periodos de Formación, Supervivencia, Asentamiento, Expansión y Apogeo.Read more ›

Es buenísimo. Desde todas sus páginas te embarca en la aventura del saber. Excepto algunas partes que se hacen extremadamente pesadas pues no nos hace falta saber datos en tan detalle
