5.Is it safe to use on hardwood boards?

It's safe. Because this electric heating carpet has an insulation layer. Heat will dissipate upwards.

6.Will electric heating carpet damage the floor?

No. NujorWarm heated carpets/under mat are equipped with insulation. Keep the heat radiating upward. Therefore, the bottom temperature of the carpet/heating mat is lower.

Additionally, as the insulation layer protects the floor. So heating the carpet has both sides, do not use it facing down.

    I got the 8x10 for our basement So that we can sit on it while we wrap presents without getting cold. This is like the best invention ever. It gets HOT. 140 degrees! Love it. In fact, I wish that all of my rugs were heated. Unfortunately, I wouldn't put this in my actual living room because it has banding around the edges and it's it's a cheap kind of polyester. I like hand tufted wool rugs for my house. But for a game room or basement it is absolute perfection. My daughter and I just hang out on it and chat and wrap presents and it's so cozy!
