Misleading Label led to an expensive trip to the vet!!

I have a puppy who has severe food allergies. That means no grains, no chicken, no turkey. I have yet to give him any type of red meat so idk how he will react to that. But, I tried Wellness Simple in the Salmon and Potato and let me tell you his skin allergies CLEARED UP COMPLETELY. No more Benadryl and he slept like a baby since his skin wasn’t driving him crazy....Ok, unfortunately I ran out of the food and it’s only being sold by other vendors on Amazon for a much higher price and $6 shipping fee. Im already paying for a Prime membership, so buying from outside vendors is not an option. I was very happy to find Nulo, as it has digestive enzymes and probiotics which is great for dogs, especially if they have allergies. I was reading the ingredients based on the photos provided and thought I was good to go. Bought the 11lbs bag convinced this food was going to work....After his first feeding he seemed ok....And then it happened...The allergies came back with full vengeance. Something told me to go back and read the ingredients again. And there it was, chicken fat and deboned turkey...I’m sure this food will work for many dogs and the ingredients sound amazing. But, I’m giving it 1 star because I feel the labeling is misleading. You won’t know there’s other animal products in this food until you receive the food and carefully read ingredients, as the photo provided of the full list of ingredients is super blurry, at least the one I saw. And now, I have to make another expensive trip to the vet, simply because a dog food company decided to mix turkey and chicken fat into what is supposed to be just Salmon and Potatos. Makes me question how much salmon is really in the food. Amazon of course was great at giving me a refund. If your dog has allergies to chicken or turkey do not buy this food.

My Samoyed pup came from her breeder on Nature's Domain puppy from Costco. As we went through one bag of that we were looking around for a good replacement made in the USA and we read good 3rd party reviews about this. We also wanted to keep her on a grain free kibble. There was absolutely no issue with the transition and her BMs were good throughout the change even though we only had 4 days worth of Costco food left to transition her by the time we got the new food. She seems to like the food and eats it just fine. She is very energetic! Keep in mind that sometimes it takes more than 2 days on Amazon Prime to get these big bags (24 lbs) delivered but Amazon's price was much better than my local shop.

I have been feeding my Boston terrier puppy this since we got him. I chose the Salmon one, he has not had any skin issues and to be honest gas has never been a problem. Hes almost 6 months now. Love this food/brand so much it's set on auto subscribe for delivery. And to be honest you can not beat the amazon price.

My puppy was having tummy problems and the local pet express recommended Nulo. I gave it a shot and my puppy loves it. No more diarrhea for my little girl. I have to agree with some of the other comments though. The design on the 24lb isn’t that great. If they only had a zipper to keep the dog food fresh, I’d be a happy camper. I’d recommend testing the food out first by buying the smaller size. Don’t forget to slowly mix the doggo’s old food in with the new food to help them transition.

I did extensive research on dry kibble and I am really impressed with this food . It is a bit pricey and doubled my pack's food price , when I switched over. But ... for the quality I felt this brand was worth it . 80 % of the protein source is from meat. And the first ingredient isn't a meat meal . With all the dry kibble food controversies right now , I think this one is the best I can do , without making my own food .

I tried to reach this company and never could. To me, that's not a good sign. IMO. I'm suspicious of the actual ingredients in this food. My dog thought it was so-so. I switched to another brand and that's working out much better. I'm curious if the dogfood business is monitored at all by a federal agency?

Our breeder and vet approved this dog food but our pup doesn't seem to like it. Even when I mix wet food with it, he will pick out this dry dog food and spit it out. This has only happened with the bags I bought on Amazon.
