You'll see numbers four, five, and six on the swings, while seven and eight swim in a lake, and nine and ten having so much fun.
This book is bilingual for learning English and Spanish. It begins with, "Number one told number two, 'Let's invite number three to go to the park and see what there is to do!'" After one, two, and three arrived at the park they became happy as they saw some of their other number friends already playing on the swings. Number four says, "Hola!" Number five says, "Hey!" And number six gives a big wave.
Each page is written in both English and Spanish so it's easy to learn quickly and accurately. The artwork is pleasing to the eye, very colorful, friendly, and attractive to kids.
The book also contains a new words list and lesson questions, which are a perfect teacher's aid.
I particularly liked the whimsical, colorful illustrations and found the review questions in the back to be a very nice touch. I could see this book being used in a classroom, perhaps to introduce English as a second language (or Spanish as a second language for the English speaker). The playground is an inviting and familiar setting that draws children in, especially those in the 3 - 6 year old range, who are sure to smile at the sight of numbers swinging on the swingset and taking a dip the lake!
