An essential reference every person should have at hand. Now in a newly expanded multi-language edition, with commentary by Vera Sharav (Holocaust survivor and medical rights advocate).

"Drafted at the conclusion of a series of trials of Nazi doctors who'd been charged of crimes - like murder and falsifying death certificates on behalf of their employer, the German government - the Nuremberg Code was the 20th century's first attempt to articulate specific ethical guidelines in an attempt to protect patients from systematic abuses by doctors, health care practitioners, and medical systems.

The Code was drafted in response to the horror of an entire country's medical system being politicized, and "science" being used to justify mass crimes against humanity in which physicians played a key role. In fact, no profession had a higher percentage of Nazi party members than the medical profession.

Until the publication of this book, it was impossible to buy a book or download an eBook that was produced specifically for the purpose of making sure every human being has the opportunity to hold this important document in their own hands.

We are currently working on a second book with the provisional title: "The Nuremberg Code and Its Modern Enemies" where we will explore potential reasons why the 75th anniversary of the Code was almost universally ignored by the medical ethics profession, and why, starting in 2020, attempts to undermine the Code's authority have become a cottage industry for literally dozens of writers."

Time Magazine (March, 2014) credited Ken McCarthy with being the person who had the fundamental insight that made it possible to transform the Internet from a non-commercial technical platform to the world's biggest marketplace and publishing platform.

His insight? That clicks had a commercial value and that their value was variable depending on audience. This insight is literally the foundation that made online businesses like Google and Facebook and millions of others possible.

In addition to this contribution, Ken was also:

1) the first to publish an article about email as a marketing tool in a marketing industry publication (1994)

2) one of the primary pioneers of the banner ad (1994)

3) early pioneer of auto-responder marketing (1996)

4) early pioneer of pay-per-click marketing (2001)

5) introduced "push button" audio to the Internet (2002), the foundation of the podcasting industry

6) early pioneer of practical online video marketing (2005), though he published the first article on the subject in 1994, and

7) early pioneer of mobile marketing (2008)

When Brian Kurtz picked the top living marketing people on the planet to honor the memory of Direct Marketing Hall of Fame legend Marty Edelson, he chose Jay Abraham, Gary Bencivenga, Dan Kennedy, Joe Sugarman, Greg Renker and Ken, along with Ken's student Perry Marshall, to represent the very best of the best in all mediums - direct mail, infomercials, catalog sales and Internet.

All that and a phenomenal educator too.

Ken organized and sponsored the first conference ever held on the subject of business on the World Wide Web, way back in 1994.

In 2002, when everyone else in the market had shut down after 9/11, and the Dotcom Crash, and declared that opportunities on the Internet "over", Ken launched the most important and influential Internet marketing seminar series of all time: The System Seminar.

Thousands of students attended over the years from twenty-three countries and five continents and many went on to become leaders in the industry.

In the System Seminar, Ken laid down the fundamentals of Internet marketing still used today: opt-in, email follow up, A/B split testing, knowing your conversion rates, multiple forms of media (text, photos, audio, video), "virtual" seminars, and high quality ad copy.

Reading this critically important historical document, it is obvious why it was written. To remind us of our right to know what is being offered to us by our officials that will or can affect our health, and that we have a right to our bodily sovereignty, to say "No!" to some medical procedure we feel may harm us.

The actual Nuremberg Code can be written on 2 pages. Most of this booklet is translations. The main pull of the booklet is Vera Sharav's commentary. If you haven't read this, I recommend you do, as soon as you can. The over-reach of world governments on the COVID vaccines clearly stomped all over the Nuremberg Code. a clear medical and governmental violation of a patients right to choose. It was a step back in time back to the Nazi's. I couldn't put my finger on it exactly when it was happening, but Ms. Sharav's commentary gave words to my thoughts.

Factual, to the point and very easy to read. The book is small in volume but huge in facts. The book opens with a brief history of whatever brought about a need to develop guidelines for people in the healthcare industry, so they would NOT commit such atrocious acts of medical insanity again.
Once the history was explained, the book went directly to the Code that was established. It is a moral code of medical ethics. You can read through the ten codes very quickly and understand what they mean. They stand today as GOSPEL for medical personnel and understanding for the common people.

EVERY home should have at least one booklet and every family member should know what it says and means. The cost isn't that great and will go a long way to educate every citizen in the U.S. AND the world!! This book (or the contents) was deliberately suppressed. We cannot let this ever happen again. Help your country and the world. Buy at least 5, 10, or 20 to give away. Place one in your library, take one to a rest home. It's easy to read. Even your 10 year-olds will comprehend. Let's saturate our country with a knowledge that will save lives. Let's never let what happened in 2020 and 2022 happen, again. They said after WW2, "Never Again!" and what happened? It almost happened again!! "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" Hosea 4:6

If we forget history, we are doomed to repeat it. I don't know what learned person said this, but I agree 100%. The Nuremberg Code was written to protect patients from medical experimentation after the Nazi's performed atrocious experiments and perfected ways to exterminate those they felt didn't deserve to live. We didn't learn. Our rights were stripped from us during Covid. If you want a better understanding and to prevent this happening again, this is a good start.

Written in the aftermath of the second world war it is the defining statement on the unalienable rights of the individual, not the state or doctor, to have final say on medical treatments or experimentation.
To fully appreciate the code, and what motivated those who wrote it I would recommend first reading The Nuremberg Diary by G. M. Gilbert. The naive may be offended, and delving into the minds of evil is not for the faint of heart, but to those familiar with history it's a stark reminder of how absolute power, corrupts absolutely, regardless of profession. It is also a good reminder of the dangers of allowing politics or political ideology to insert itself between patient and care giver.
I gave it 4 stars because the introduction by Ken McCarthy doesn't add anything and it distracts from the purity and clarity the code itself conveys.
