Cures Slow Digestion like a Plough

Um, if you ever get, um well, um constipated, this is the cure. It has tons of roughage. You have to stir constantly to keep it suspended in the liquid, or use Ice cream (YUM).

My healthy morning shake recipe is: 2 scoops hemp, 1/2 scoop raw green coffee protein powder, 2 scoops of freeze dried spinach from Hoosier farms, a scoop of freeze dried beets from same, enough pure cocoa powder to cover up the spinach (two tablespoons) a t spoon of stevia, or a lot of xylitol which takes a while to dissolve in blender.....yum. oh, I forgot, add one cup milk and a bit of water, or some ice cream or what you like. If you are super tough no milk, just water and add a bunch of cumin and raw ginger is good in either version.

I love this protein powder. I mixed it with nut milk, frozen berries and super green powder for a great breakfast shake/smoothie. It's pretty filling, easy on the digestive system and helps keep me regular. I love this plant-based protein powder! It's definitely "earthy" tasting, but I had that expectation. Also...my 14 month old son LOVES my breakfast smoothie...it's a little hysterical.

Good hemp protein, only it doesn't dissolve in liquid because of the high fiber content. I get the regular one from same brand and it dissolves well. This particular one, with high fiber, I would recommend using in a shake verses just liquid. Great product otherwise.

I regularly buy this product along with Nutiva Chocolate Hempshakes. I used to add the protein powder to green smoothies for a boost of fiber, however I eventually decided that making smoothies everyday was too much work. I now add two tablespoons of this to the 4 tablespoons of chocolate Hempshake for a delicious shake with 75% RDI of fiber. It is true that it is a little gritty in whatever you're putting it in, however if you let it sit for a few minutes it smooths up nicely.

By the way, this product is intended to be MIXED with other drinks or smoothies, not taken straight with water. The reviewers who gave this a poor rating because of taste and only had the powder straight need to get a clue. It has no sugar or other additives; it's just ground hemp seed, unlike other fiber products loaded down with sugar or other sweeteners.

Nutiva makes great products and they really do improve your health. I drink two Hempshakes a day which means I'm getting 4 tablespoons of this hemp protein powder and I have not been sick at all this year, which is amazing being that I'm a teacher. I definitely recommend trying this out. Use Amazon Subscribe and Save for and even bigger discount on this stuff.
