Have you noticed changes in your dog’s joints?

|---|---|---|
Have you talked to your vet? When you notice any changes in your dog’s health, the first step should be talking to your veterinarian. Your vet may recommend using our patented, scientifically researched Dasuquin Joint Health Supplements to help support your dog’s joints and maintain his quality of life. |
Does he struggle to get up to snuggle? If you notice that your dog does not get up as easily, is reluctant to climb stairs or hesitates to jump on the couch, these may be signs of joint issues. These issues can make daily life just a bit harder for your dog. Dasuquin Joint Health Supplements help support cartilage structure and function by inhibiting the enzymes that break down cartilage, which may help make everyday activities easier. |
Are long walks getting shorter?Dogs of all ages with joint issues may not want to walk, run, or play as much as they used to do. Even at younger ages, some dogs are subject to joint health concerns that may affect agility and movement. Dasuquin Joint Health Supplements are enhanced with a proprietary blend of ingredients to help support your dog’s joint health every day. |

The surgeon and Teddy's Vet recommended a switch to Dasuguin with MSN rather than Cosequin ...
Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2018Verified Purchase
Our 100 pound Golden Retriever has had surgeries on both knees. Now, we confront osteoarthritis. The surgeon and Teddy's Vet recommended a switch to Dasuguin with MSN rather than Cosequin for Teddy's joints. Our eight year old is acting like he is four! Teddy springs into the air on his hind legs to jump up on my bed.
Note, Teddy is now on Tramadol, a human drug. Tramadol retails at $217 per month. Banfield/Petsmart sells it for about $135 on their wellness plan. With his own Rewards prescription card at Walgreens the price drops to $99. Using a coupon that came with the grocery flyers the cost is now $79 per month. As both Dasuquin and Tramadol are a result of surgery, so Teddy's HEALTHY PAWS INSURANCE covers 80%. We only pay $16 per month.
We strongly support the Banfield Wellness plan at $32/month which includes one tooth cleaning per year, (Normally costing $275). Evidently, half of all dogs die from a problem in their mouth. If it had not been for Healthy Paws insurance, ($30/month excluding pre-existing conditions), we may have been considering putting Teddy to sleep.
The day we learned Teddy would need his first surgery, the Vet could not get him onto the X-Ray table. I had to help. I found myself looking into Teddy's eyes as I said, "It's ok." I never want to again see the fear I saw in Teddy's eyes that day. We believe that loving a dog or cat is giving them the same health coverage we would give to a human child.

Unbelievable. Our 7 year old slobbering hot mess of a boxer has blown ACL's (and TPLO surgery), hip displasia and arthritis. He was in good spirits (being a boxer that is a given) but was clearly in a lot of pain - watching him struggle up stairs and wince when sitting was absolutely heartbreaking. The surgical options offered were hip replacement and another TPLO - which was a high risk, high cost and tremendous negative impact on his quality of life. Heartbreaking.
We had tried Dasuquin earlier (first blown ACL) with not results, and out of desperation tried it again.
* FRIGGING MAGIC *
Creaky hot mess got his puppy wiggles back. Yes, he still has the underlying physical issues, but he is moving MUCH more easily, demonstrates minimal distress (unless he's done something stupid like tear off after a deer), and is much more mobile and obviously happier. The morning & night dasoquin is a ritual that he absolutely loves and looks forwards to, and it literally took less than a week for the first signs of improvement to show.
We are generally skeptics of "nutritional supplement" claims, but anecdotally we can strongly correlate our Boxer's dramatic improvement with starting Dasoquin. Initially the $80 a bag was a larger "wild bet" than we wanted to make (hint - Dasoquin - sell $20 'evaluation bags'), but in hindsight the cost is absolutely negligible compared to the positive impact on our dog's quality of life.
Your pet's mileage may certainly vary, but we wanted to share this one dramatic anecdote of Dasoquin really helping the hairiest member of our family. Five well deserved stars.

Dasuquin was recommended by my vet, and it works very well. I got my dog off of prescription anti-inflammatories in less than a week. Of course, this is not a miracle cure and when she overdoes it, her limp and stiffness reappear for a few days. However, they do not seem to be as pronounced nor as long lasting as they were before she started on the Dasuquin. After she was on these for about six months, I wanted to see if the difference was real or coincidental. I decided that when I ran out, I wouldn't buy more right away. I noticed a reappearance of her limp and increased stiffness after she was off them for a few weeks, which tells me they do make a difference. I deducted one star because they do dry out after a while and my dog didn't want to eat them. I decided to try the chewable tablets for my 2nd purchase, but she doesn't like them anywhere near as much as she liked these. I will just buy the smaller bag of the soft chews when I need more. For reference, my dog is about 10 years old and 75#. She has grade 1-2 tears in both ACLs and accompanying arthritis in the early stages.
Some additional information per my vet: Dasuquin is made by an American company, the same company that makes Cosequin for humans. They use high quality ingredients and make the supplements in the US. They specifically guarantee the bioavailability of their ingredients. Bioavailability refers to the amount of a particular ingredient actually available to be used by the body. What many people don't realize is that many vitamins, minerals and supplements are formulated in the cheapest way possible, which means that the body may or may not be able to make use of it. For example, there may be 5000 mg of glucosamine in a tablet, but the body may only be able to absorb 300 mg because it is too difficult to process. Buying cheap supplements that have high dose levels does no good if it can't be absorbed by the body. Buying a more expensive supplement with a seemingly lower dosage but higher bioavailability actually provides the body with more of the key ingredient(s) than a cheaper supplement with lower bioavailability does.

While Dasuquin is an Excellent Product I will never buy it from Amazon again. Upon opening the package I noticed the chews were dried out and looked old. Upon further inspection of the package I noticed a small tear. The package was not expired. Due the fact that I had opened the package I did not try to return them. I threw them out because I was afraid to give them to my dog. I felt they one were not fresh and two they may be infested with insects or someone may have done something more sinister. I will never buy anything consumable by pet or human from Amazon again. Almost $80.00 down the tubes.
