My original review only 5 months ago: It is quieter, and much easier to use. I had to wrestle with the old one and it was wake the neighbors loud. I took one star off for changing the thread pattern so that old accessories like cups no longer fit. (My original became unbelievably loud then blew up and leaked motor oil at the six month mark.)
UPDATE: this one also blew and leaked oil everywhere at the 5 month mark. Why don't they say you will have to replace it with regular use every six months? Now I've had three of these in just over a year and I'm making basic smoothies with them several times a week and That's It.
