I've only used this maybe a dozen times, and thrice now I've had the regulator freeze and discharge the entire co2 cartridge. I'm happy to report that the safety valve functions as intended.. At any rate, I'm going to have to replace the regulator and will probably go to a remote setup with a soadstream tank and proper regulator. Those mini regulators are convenient for portable dispensing, but I just use mine for carbonating small batches of mead (works for that, when the regulator behaves) and dispensing at home. I have twice used it as a growler, do note that the blank cap is pretty sharp on the edges. A bartender and I both have been cut by it. Anyway, my recommendation is if you need something this size, plan to only use the provided regulator for mobile use. If you need controlled carbonating or head pressure, this is just ok, but a good regulator is really needed. I used to be a brewer at a local brewery, so it's not misuse or lack of sanitation on my part.
