Cup sheds plastic

I put just one small ice cube in with other fruits and vegetables and the cup was completely torn apart. I noticed after drinking the smoothie and tasting bits of plastic. This happened after just three uses of the blender, so the cup was still brand new. Very weak quality and false advertising of the product's capability.
