If I could do it here, I'd give this sweet little SSD 6 Gold Stars (******), but they won't let me, so it and OCZ will have to settle on 5 Gold Stars across the board. The Agility2 SSD is an Unholy Terror! I mean good grief, could they make it any better? I dunno, I just dunno about that whole concept after using the OCZ Agility2 SSD for 10 days and counting, because the drive has virtually knocked my socks off, and it will knock yours off too if you are brave enough to buy it!

I posted a couple simple ATTO Tools Benchmark and AS SSD Benchmark tests so you can see for yourselves what I am about to describe as best I can, but overall the speed of the Agility2 has to be experienced to be believed, as all the numbers in the world don't do it justice, it's just so danged fast at both reading and writing data that it will astonish you.

When an SSD works its magic, any SSD, it's fast, we all know that. But when an SSD puts a benchmark or two up there where no other SSD of similar size and makeup can touch it, that's another thing altogether, and that's what I am talking about when I write the words: Agility2=unsurpassed write and read performance in a 100GB SSD Drive.

Dear Reader, would you be so kind as to take a minute or two and check out the graphics that I posted with the review, up there in the Reader Pictures for this amazing SSD hard drive? After you check out the benchmarks, come back to the review and finish it off because unlike many reviews I write, this one will be quite short comparatively...and those benchmarks are exactly what I am going to be writing about next...Good, you did that, right? Thank you, now I'll continue...

Rare that a product has so many winning benefits. I now own ten different SSDs (all 2010 models of various capacities and speeds) from OCZ, Kingston, Western Digital, Intel and Samsung. While this drive is rated at the theoretical maximum SATA 2 transfer rate, honestly, I can't tell the difference between their speeds in day-to-day use. They are all very fast -- much, much faster than the original notebook drives they replaced. Boot times are all 3x faster than the original drives. SSDs are fast, durable, silent, and take a bit less power. No more defragging. I just cloned a 256GB SSD and it took less than 15 minutes. Wow!

Best practice for SSDs is to do a fresh install of Windows 7. These drives offer the TRIM feature which, when used with Windows 7, will maintain their optimal speeds.

I stopped buying spinning drives when I had a hard drive crash while at a customer site. The drive was 57 days old. Take my advice. Buy an SSD for your notebook. The benefits are awesome. You won't be disappointed.
