PCD USB Y Cable.
Top customer reviews
On the regular wii, I could use my external drive without issue, but the Wii U doesn't supply enough power to the drive. I tried to use a powered USB hub first, and that seems to work for the Wii U (it recognizes it), but I was still unable to use it for the vWii.
After purchasing and using this Y adapter, USB Loader Gx and other usb loaders in vWii recognize the drive, and it is working flawlessly.
On a SG4 that can charge up to 2A, this cable only passes 600mA as measured by BatteryWidget and PortaPow.
On a solar battery that can charge up to 1.5A (with no USB charge intelligence lowering current) between 0.5A to 1A gets through this, as measured by PortaPow.
It still runs efficiently and I haven't seen any problems with loading or anything so no worries so far on that part.
