Over the years I've migrated from various stand bags to various cart bags and back. I'm typically a cart rider with the occasional walking round, so I was looking for a stand bag that would work well on a cart - the Grom excels in this capacity.

This is the first Ogio product I've ever purchased, and I have to say all the positive reviews I found around the web are all spot on. The bag is very well constructed, and appears it will last a very long time. The 1-way top is organized and angled in such a way that it works well as either a stand configuration (woods on top to avoid shaft damage) or a cart config (woods at the rear for complete access to all clubs). Clubs don't bind with other shafts when putting them back in the bag - a complaint I've had with other 14-way tops I've owned.

The zipperless ball pocket and 3-ball exposed sleeve thing are very handy and a minor stroke of genius. Pockets are plentiful and even labeled; the only complaint I'd have is the "valuables" pocket is directly under where the normal cart strap binds, so you can't access your wallet and car keys after your bag is strapped in. The rubber strap that attaches to the rear of the cart (to keep the bag from twisting) is also a stroke of genius, albeit mitigated by the few carts I've run into that have some huge plastic lip on the rear basket that precludes the strap's use.

The stand mechanism (another weakness in other bags) is very sturdy and keeps the bag very upright - a good thing, as I've had other stand bags break where the mechanism "squats" too low.

SUMMARY:
Clearly, this bag was designed by folks who actually use golf bags - loading in and out of trunks, walking the course, using the bag on a golf cart. I'm very, very pleased with its functionality, light weight, usability and smart looks. Would definitely buy another if I needed to.

After suffering with the cart-only bag that came with my clubs, I started looking into a bag that I could continue to use in a cart, but would be good for the occasional walk of the course.

The Ogio Grom is simply phenomenal, and exceeded my already high expectations when I took it out of the box. Ogio thought of everything on this bag.

Like using a golf towel with a caribiner? There is a loop to clip it. Prefer to use just a plain towel? There is a piece of elastic for that too.

Want to grab a drink and mark your scorecard while you are walking to the next hole? Just reach back with your left hand, and both compartments are right there.

Golf ball and tee access could not be easier. Pop one out of the front, or flip open the compartment just beneath. It has a neat hinge mechanism that just flips open and shut with no zippers or snaps.

The leg mechanism is very easy to open, and the legs are the sturdiest I have ever seen in a stand golf bag.

There are simply too many neat things to list with this bag, and I am still finding reasons to love it. The other part I really like is most of the pockets are marked with what is actually supposed to go in there. This is an oversight that a shocking number of bag manufacturers overlook, since it is not always obvious.

I have never been this pleased with a non-club golf purchase. Highly, highly recommended.

I have to say I am pleased with my new OGIO Grom Stand Bag. I was not sure in the
beginning, looking on-line ,if this would be a great buy. Since I have had the bag,
its been great. Easy access to all the different pockets especially the pocket for
balls. A divider for each club is nice. The light weigh of the bag and the stand
feature makes the bag that much nicer. I would recommend this product.

I purchased this bag in the stealth color, which gives me a nice muted bag...not flashy in any way when going to the course. The bag is light enough to easily get through 18 on a flat course; I've walked upwards of 27 holes on extremely hot days. The bag has a plethora of pockets: a deep zipper valuables pocket that is fleece lined, a medium depth zipper long pocket that can carry all my rain gear/tees/snacks, a long zipper pocket that I have 8 sleeves of balls in, a pocket for a water bottle, zipper pocket for an extra drink, a zipper pocket for the rain hood and a pivot pocket for quick access to balls. Your probably asking 8 sleeves plus a pocket for balls and the three ball holders on the outside...yes that's correct. I play regional golf tournaments and have qualified for discount prices on golf equipment. That means I order in bulk and will typically carry enough balls for 3 months. Even with all this stuff packed in I am still able to carry my bag 18 holes with ease.

There is a place for a divot tool, marker and a velcro area for your glove. The towel attachment is an elastic robe that can hold a few carabiners; I have my sunglasses case, towel, brush and Skycaddy case.

There is a rubber band type attachment that is held on the backside of the bag for when using a riding cart. It basically goes around the basket on the back of most carts and holds the bag in perfect alignment. No more having a bag that sits in the cart at a 45deg angle.

The top has two areas that you can grip along with a handle down near the pivot pocket to allow for easy loading and unloading into your trunk. The main handle at the top is made of elastic and rubber which makes for moving the bag around the green and placing the kickstand down easier.
