I think it's fair to say this series just didn't do it for me. The sexy, shocking man that was Miller Hart got left in Promised and didn't show back up. I got bored in Denied and should have stopped there, but I didn't I had to see what happened. I had to see if I could get back into the story. Unfortunately I could not.
While Unveiled is better than Denied it still lacked something. It was very drawn out. I found myself skimming throughout until the last 30-40%. One thing JEM can do is write a sex scene but even those were annoying me. There were just so many of them. The angst between them, the making up, the jealous possessiveness by both of them became repetitive.
I do enjoy JEM's writing style and look forward to her future works but I am glad this one is over.

This man series I have read at least 3 times but this series I will not be reading again. The situations were just too crazy and not realistic and also very predictable. I figured out her parentage in the first book, it was so obvious and just took too long to come out. I did love Nan, she was great and so was her and Olivia's relationship. Miller was just too odd and unpredictable throughout all 3 books. I didn't like his terminology and his temper although it made for some excitement. So anyway, I'm giving this book 3 stars and the entire series 3 stars. I didn't love it but I didn't totally hate it either so I'm going right down the middle with this one.
The story picks up in New York City, two weeks after Miller and Olivia fled London and the “interferers”. We see a more casual side to Miller (clad in jeans!) as the couple fills their days with sightseeing and nurturing their love. However, they are soon forced to return to London and must face the hard questions that Olivia has been avoiding. How can Miller truly be free from his past? How much does Nan know? Did she really see her mother in the airport? Is their love strong enough to hold them together through anything?
It was nice to see how much Miller has grown. Gone is the Miller who frequently flew into jealous psychotic rages in an instant. It was as if he had grown more secure in Olivia’s love. His obsessive compulsions also seem to be more relaxed. What’s not more relaxed are the sex scenes. The steam factor increased significantly in this book!
While I would like to have seen more of the secondary characters Gregory, Nan and George, I think fans of the series will find this a very satisfying conclusion. The epilogue from Miller’s POV is a nice bonus for readers.

I loved this book. Miller and Olivia's crazy relationship. How each of them managed to deal with the way the other person is. OCD is an awful thing to combat.Published 12 days ago by Bcoombz
