This kit and a UV lamp will have you doing your own UV gel nails at home. You do this twice at home and you'll recover the price of the UV machine and this kit by saving what you would have paid at salons. It's very easy to use, the directions were simple, and my nails turned out salon perfect the first time I tried it. Unless you have a very unsteady hand, you will not mess up.

Im a nail tech and i use this line on all my clients. Ive never had any issues with cracking and chiping. You want to file the entire top of the nail and then use alcohal to remove the nail dust and any oils left on the natural nail. If you do not do this the product will peel. When i use this i apply 3 to 4 cotes of the clear. U dont want to use thin cotes but then you dont want to use think cotes either due to it being a self spreading product. You always want to make sure you cure every cote 2 times. Always make sure you remove all the natural oils from ur nail bed before applying base as i explained. Filing the nail allows the base to grab onto the nail due to the scratches the file makes. Alcohal drys out the nail removing all oils. I dont use the top cote. That WILL make it crack if you smack ur nails on something. I highly recomend you read up on nail products before you buy them. Hope this helps someone:)

I didn't buy mine from this seller or on Amazon so I can't speak for the age of the product or anything. That said, axxium is a solid system. I like how it lays; it's easier to work with than other gels imho. Yet, if you don't know how to do gel nails, sculpts or overlays, not color, and you are incapable of learning it (Bc there are thousands of videos and books, you don't have to go to school), than this product isn't going to work. My guess is, the prep on the nails was wrong, or the gel was laid wrong, if you aren't precicse with it, it will lift.
So, if you are willing to read and watch some YouTube videos, and are capable of learning new things, this is a fine kit for gel tips.

I got this and thought it would be the best, wrong. I've done this 3 times, followed directions to perfection and about the end of the second day, it is cracking, chipping. I just use base coat, clear overlay with top coat and sealer. I do the Bondaid, not soaked on, use UV for 1 min on base, 2 min for each coat, then sealer for 3 min, don't put it on thick, cap off ends and no matter what I do, still cracks and chips. I was so hoping this would work, glad it didn't cost alot, since it's used and I have to throw it away. The first day it is just wonderful, beautiful clear nails and by the end of the second day it starts falling apart. I even tried a clear polish on it thinking it would strengthen it, it does help keep it on a couple days more, but eventually I have to take it off. I guess I will just stick with the OPI Gelcolor, stays much better.

This is the same brand my salon uses... I bought the same UV Gel Nail dryer... but I can't seem to make this work! I put all the layers on, follow all the instructions, and it starts to cracks and peel / lift off within 3-4 days. I didn't have any problems with it being gummy - the top coat takes care of that. But it doesn't seem to stick to my nails very well! I even coarsely buffed the heck out of my nails, and some of it still came off in a few days!

Oh... I was experimenting - trying to get the stuff to stay on longer, so I tried super-thin coats, super-thick coats, everything I can think of! All the instructions say to use a thin coat, but they never say *WHY*!!! Because when you put your hands under the UV dryer, the stuff "melts", and you get super thick edges that spill over onto your cuticles and onto your fingers. It feels like your fingers are on fire, and looks weird. And it still doesn't stay on any better.

I think maybe my gel base is deffective. :( The UV top coat works great - always gives a nice, shiny finish - slick to the touch! I would consider buying that seperately.
