What is a cuticle?

The cuticle is a layer of clear skin located along the bottom edge of your finger or toe. Dried cuticle can lift nail polish which leads to nail color chipping earlier than anticipated.

What causes dry cuticles?

Multiple things can contribute to dry cuticles. Such as cold winter weather, expoing your hand to drying products such as cleaning supply can cause dry cuticles. Apply Cuticle Oil daily to keep skin nourished.

Why does my Nail Lacquer get thick?

Nail Lacquer contains solvents which evaporate with use and cause your nail polish to get thick. Use Nail Lacquer thinner to replace the evaporated solvents and you're good to go again!

How to gently remove excess cuticle?

Grab OPI Exfoliating Cuticle Cream and apply a small amount to each cuticle. Leave it on for at least 30 seconds. Take a reusable cuticle stick and push back the eponychium to reveal true cuticle on each nail. Once you’re done, wipe away the excess.

Can harsh soaps, hand sanitizers, and nail polish remover dry out your cuticles?

Fake items. Purchase at your own risk. I’ve had the entire set directly from OPI many times through the years. I bought the cuticle oil because I needed something quick and available to ship during this pandemic shutdown. As soon as I received it, I had a feeling it is a fake. Totally returning. Ended up using just pure avocado oil from my pantry to use after my self mani and pedi. Below is why I am returning.

1. The original is a bit thicker....like oil should be. This was not....so runny.
2. The original has hardly no scent or very very very mild scent to it. This smells like Pledge liquid. I bought the Pledge liquid and compared the two and I am so convinced it it Pledge. From the scent to the texture.

I’ve been using this oil almost every night for several months now and it works great. My cuticles used to be so dry and cracked from constant handwashing (I’m an elementary school teacher, so I’m always scrubbing my hands!), but I’ve seen a huge improvement since I started using this oil. I’ve ordered this product several times and it always comes with the dropper, so I’m not sure why others are saying it isn’t included.

I really like this cuticle oil. It works well and removes dry cuticles for a smoother manicure. I have used this oil for a good while now, and would like to continue. The drawback is the cost. A small tube is over $10 and doesn't last very long either. I am currently looking for another less expensive oil. Surely there's one just as good!

I'd rather pay $20 for a nice thick and pleasant smelling cream like Avoplex, than a cheap stinky version.Will not be purchasing ever again.

When you look at the pictures you will see how bad my cuticles are. The thing is huge hard pieces of skin were sticking out of every stub but after using this product they all kind of dissolved away. This picture is from day one. I will update to see if it allows my cuticles and fingers to heal.

It works so well! I'm kind of dehydrated so my cuticles are really bad. On almost every nail I have one or two cuticles sticking out on either side. They hurt really bad and I'm constantly picking at them which only makes it worse.

Immediately upon using this cream my hands felt softer, the pain from my cuticles basically disappeared, and the tiny pieces that were sticking out are now under control.

The only thing I would have to say about this product that is negative is that there's a slight chemical scent to it but it's not bad and it's definitely worth every single penny. I also used it on my boyfriend and he is super happy!

OPI ProSpa Micro-Exfoliating Hand Polish is another lovely product from the OPI ProSpa range and I love to use this when my hands need an extra dose of tender loving care especially if my hands feel dry and sore especially around the cuticles. From the first use of this, my hands feel and look so much better. I massage it into my hands for a couple of minutes, which when massaging reminds me of having small granules of sugar mixed in with my hand soap.
The reaction I get from using this is my hands feel tingly, very clean and my skin feels so smooth and silky soft.
I always finish off by applying either the ProSpa hand serum from the same range or the OPI hand cuticle cream which is also from the same range. If my hands are very dry before using this which are usually after I have worked in the garden and kitchen for long periods, or if work is very busy I would apply a thick application before going to bed then wear a pair of cotton gloves to get full benefits of all the products. I would try and do this at least once a week.
The benefits of using the Micro-Exfoliating Hand Polish is that my hands are fully prepared for receiving the full range of the ProSpa range. I love the hand polish as the smooth and silky feeling from using this hand polish on my hands alone is second to none and for me, it really is a wonderful and treatment. It is a very rich product and a little of the product goes a long way.
First-class treatment once again from OPI and one I am very happy to recommend.

I have used this nail oil for almost twenty years but was shocked to find that the latest bottle I ordered has a nut warning on it & I have a severe nut allergy! This is a new thing as it used to be made with avocado. I feel that it should state the allergy warning somewhere before you even purchase it as I am now having to sort out a refund!! Not a happy customer as most nail oils contain nuts so this was my go to product!

I have used this OPI before and can highly rec'd it. I lost my nail through chemo and the cuticles were a mess too. So since I have used this they are back to normal..... it has taken a few years of every night massaging the oil into the nails and cuticules but it is really worth the effort.
