As someone with naturally wavy, almost curly hair, I am always on the lookout for products to keep my hair smooth. With my hair being color treated (bleach and low-lights) I also look for products that will keep my hair soft, minimize breakage and not affect my color. This product line exceeded my expectations. Because I am licensed, I normally only buy professional products. I tried this because it is NOT tested on animals and sadly most professional products ARE. I live in the South where it's quite humid...This kept the frizzies under control. I noticed I could run my fingers through my hair after shampooing and before applying the conditioner. Normally, I have to use conditioner to be able to do this. For what it's worth, my fiance noticed that my hair was smoother and said it smelled wonderful...Wanting to know if I had tried the new mango/citrus shampoo and conditioner I had bought. Hours and hours later, he said my hair still smelled really nice. Most products don't linger this long, but I like when they do. I also did not have to apply hair smoothing cream like I normally do...Just a little leave-in conditioner and my hair dried with some really nice waves in it. If you have curly or dry hair, definitely try these products. And, you can't beat the price.

I tried this teatree shampoo at the suggestion of my hair stylist and was impressed. First, this is a great quality tea tree shampoo for the price and comparable to some much more expensive ones I've tried out from Whole Foods.

The shampoo smells like fresh mint, in an earthy, not artificial way. I found that it helped with my irritated scalp (weather is crazy here and does a number on the skin), and kept my hair really clean and left it feeling that way longer than other shampoos I've tried. My hair can get kind of oily and this shampoo was good for preventing that.

The only bad thing about tea tree is it can be a little drying in excess, but I didn't seem to have too much of a problem with this shampoo. Overall, i was impressed with this product and this brand. I've since tried some of their conditioners and liked them just as much, especially for the price!

My wife and I recently moved to Naples, Italy. We quickly discovered that along with the beauty of another country comes the missing of certain things that we took for granted back in San Diego, CA. One of those items was a shampoo made by Organnix called their Hydrating Teetree Mint. With the hard, silty water found in Naples, both of our hair was looking interesting to say the least. This shampoo is not available locally. We thought sooner or later that we would find similar shampoo but never did. We found this (and the conditioner) available on Amazon and discovered that it costs less to have it shipped to us in Naples that we paid in the store for in back in the Grand ol' US of A. This was a no-brainer, to have the shampoo (and conditioner) shipped to us directly saving money.

The Shampoo itself helps to bring our hair back to its soft and in the case of my wife, silky and flowing hair that we had lost since moving here. Normally I use the conditioner only occasionally, but my wife uses it daily, something about me liking her long flowing hair - go figure. But in all sincerity, the shampoo (and conditioner) makes both of our hair softer and less beat up from the hard water and extreme sun from the Mediterranean.

I mainly bought this because of an internet search for jock itch relief. I work in a garden center in Florida and had developed my first case of female jock itch! I tried diaper creams (worked a bit) cortisone cream (worked a bit) and a disastrous go with Zeasorb powder. Evidently I'm allergic to something in the Zeasorb and it left me with sores that felt like bruises, along with the rash being fiery red. I received my OGX Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner a week ago and used the shampoo as body wash that night, the next morning and night. The following day my skin was much less red, no more sores and almost no itching. I now have previously affected areas that are completely clear of any signs of a rash. Another plus is how great my curly, waist-length hair feels and smells! I love this stuff!

Scent Name: Soft & Silk Vanilla Silk
Organix Vanilla Silk Shampoo is a decent shampoo from Organix- a company I can usually count on for producing some good, effective hair care products. The company has made a name for itself as a shampoo maker that uses unusual ingredients in its products, openly indicated in the name so that consumers know exactly what they are getting. Everything from yogurt to pomegranate and beyond can be found in Organix hair care products and many consumers claim that these special ingredients do make a difference.

Organix Vanilla Silk Shampoo is actually one of the company's simpler products but it still has some good things going for it. The vanilla scent is one. It reminds me of the scent from a vanilla- scented air freshener. I also like the ability of this product to soften the hair and smooth it out. But other than these two qualities, this product is actually very average overall. One of its weaknesses is its inability to moisturize. This shampoo claims it is made for all hair types, but I don't see how it helps those with dry hair.

Organix Vanilla Silk Shampoo is easy enough to rinse out, if you have short hair. Those with very long hair may not be so fortunate, but it still passes the test in this area. As for its shine and softness claims, I agree that it does make hair a little softer, but the verdict is still out on the shining abilities. It isn't bad and I can think of other products that are much worse. The problem with Organix Vanilla Silk Shampoo is that it just isn't as good as its ability claims or price tag would lead you to believe.

Organix offers several good hair care products, but Organix Vanilla Silk Shampoo isn't one of them. It is okay, but nothing special and unless a consumer can find it on sale, its results are really not worth the price. There are other, better products on the market for the same or less money and I can therefore only rate this product average overall.
