OSABASA vs Bambu vs Vero Monte
The fit of these is ok. I'm a true size 8.5 and ordered the size 8-11. They fit a little on the short/snug side to be honest (especially after a few months of wash/dry cycles. I would not recommend this size for anyone over a size 9. The best fit award goes to Bambu. The Vero Monte ones ran a little big.
Once they're on they really do stay on though! The silicone heel grip keeps them in place without being the least bit uncomfortable. Both other brands were equally good in terms of staying put with the heel silicone.
The cut of these is pretty great for sneakers. See in my pictures how they look with my converse Chuck Taylor shoreline slipons. Note: in my pictures with shoes on I'm wearing the white socks with black shoes just so you can see where they fall. When I wear the black ones with black shoes and the white ones with white shoes they're pretty much unnoticeable. Compared with the other two no show socks I bought, these were the lowest cut/least visible with my shoes on. That being said, the tag of my Chuck's is on the upper tongue of the shoe and sometimes it can get a little sweaty/uncomfortable with all day wear. My preference is for a no show sock that comes up a little higher on the top of the foot while still staying mostly hidden. While these are the least visible, the Bambu socks covered more of my foot while still staying mostly out of sight. If it's completely invisible you want, these are a good way to go.
The material of these socks are quite thin. You can see from my pictures how my toes are clearly visible through the black socks. Compared with the other two they are the thinnest/least comfortable/most likely to get holes. Vero Monte had the softest and cushiest socks but that's really all I liked about them. Bambu's socks were also VERY soft and the material wicks moisture away and isvery breathable. I never got sweaty feet with the Bambu socks. In terms of comfort, these lost and Bambu won.
In terms of price, these OSABASA socks win. Vero Monte were the most expensive and Bambu was in between. In terms of packaging, you also get what you pay for. The Vero Monte socks were most nicely packaged, with Bambu in the middle and these coming in dead last.
In summary, I think you get what you pay for with these socks. If you're looking for a cheap, no frills sock that is truly no show in most shoes and will stay on your foot, these will do just fine!
For my money and my purposes, I recommend the Bambu socks. They are much better in terms of materials, comfort and quality. They do come up a little higher on the top of the foot but for me that was what I wanted. It may not be for you depending on your shoe of choice though. I do not recommend the Vero Monte socks as no show socks at all unless you're planning to wear them with tennis shoes, and then I would recommend a good thick sport ankle sock like Puma makes.
I paid full price for all these socks (including the ones I bought from Walmart and Target) so I really hope this has been helpful for someone else shopping for the perfect no show sock! The struggle is real...
UPDATE: I had previously rated these socks as being "you get what you pay for" but I have since noticed a dramatic price increase. I would no longer recommend them for this price.
Firstly and one of the major factors besides staying on my feet, they are mostly cotton. I would have expected that to be more common, but the ones I've tried in the past had little or no cotton in them. I love wearing these so much, I leave them on when I take my shoes off, and wear them around the house. They have never so much as needed me to readjust during the day. They just stay where they are. They aren't as low profile as some, but honestly I don't care, as I can wear shoes now that used to be impossible without socks.
As a non sock wearer for many years.. I'm a convert! I wear a size 7 shoe, and got these in the 5-8 size, and they fit well. I have them in black and beige, and plan on buying more in other colors.
Also, I want to add because I've seen many reviewers comments on this, I would say that these are true to size. I am between a 7 and a 7 1/2 women's, and the smalls fit me just fine.
