I realize I don't need this kit often, but when I do it's great. I've used it to separate several ball joints and tie rod ends and it's worked flawless.
I've got several other OTC tools/kits in my garage and I've been impressed with them. Combined with the other positive reviews online for this kit in particular (and OTC in general), I didn't hesitate when buying.

I've used this kit about a dozen times now and it's performed like a champ each time. Gone are the days of beating the snot out of things with a big hammer trying to get things apart. Love this tool set.
I ordered these, and was very reluctant to remove that pitman arm, but I knew it had to come off. I put the puller on, snugged up the bolt, and turned it one time with a wrench. I heard some creaking and squeaking, so I made another turn of the wrench. Before my eyes the pitman arm raised up about 1/8". Another turn or 2 of wrench and it was off.
Next came the ball joints--and ball joints in a ford crown victoria are a beast. They even tell you to put them in the freezer and to heat the control arm with a torch--(expand the control arm--where they are held----contract the ball joint by freezing it -smaller). The separator for the ball joint was put on and its kind of like a teeter totter--in that you push down with a bolt (tighten) and it forces the other side up. So I watched this closely and slowly but surely see the parts come off the ball joint. DOwn 2. The same occured with each part--the tie rod ends, four of them in this car, 2 inner, 2 outer, each was very very tightly pressed on after 21 years and by design, and these tools made fast work. Most of all nothing was damaged, no one was hurt. This can be very dangerous, because these tools are forcing a very tight object to come loose. The amount of energy stored in that tool as the bolt is tightened is incredible. I've seen pullers come off and put dents in things and so its not something to do without knowing how and with improper tools. this could be very dangerous.
OTC has made the best--the very best tools in every thing they do, and i have 100% confidence in OTC tools are products. This is at least 50$ cheaper than anyone else has it. Even ebay --they are used for 25-40$ more than this. That shows you what a great price this is for this high quality tool set. There are --well all of them look identical to this. Thats where the similarity ends. Dont think a set that looks the same but is 25$ cheaper is a good buy. You could risk getting hurt or damaging your car, parts, tools, etc.
I'm not knocking these tools too much as I don't think anything short of a hydraulic press- which is what I had to use on it after I finally got the center link off the truck- could have separated the pitman arm joint. On the first pull attempt, one of the tips partially broke off, and further attempts were futile. I ended up using several Milwaukee bimetal blades on a sawzall and cut the center link off past the pitman joint so I could unbolt the idler arm and undo the ball joints.
The pitman arm tool was nice in that it had a cup on the end that allowed it to stay on the joint stud as it was tightened. The other tools seem to be of good quality.
