So I have been a certified diver for a number of years. As I get older it has been harder to get masks to seal well. I was told by the local dive shop not order a full face mask because I would not like it. I did a lot of research on FFMs and found people loved them and this mask was very highly recommend. I can say I love this mask, I thrashed my head from side to side trying to get water in and no leaks. You can talk to your partner if they are close which is great. I plan on looking into the communication setup next. My wife liked it so much we ordered one for her as well.
Cons: you have to stay on air once you put the mask on, or remove the mask. I always remove my mask and regulator when I am on the surface anyways so no big deal. They are working on a surface valve but it's not out yet.

I dove open water with it today and I'm very happy with the purchase. Get the "Ambient Breathing Valve", it's essential because you wear a FFM a lot more (getting into water and exiting the water / surface time).
I had some fogging which I think I'll solve with better anti fog. But with this design it was easy to let a little water in and rinse the lens.
My regulator is great, but if I was doing it over again id want a regulator that I can attach a quick disconnect hose (my atomic has an unusual size fitting and I haven't found a QD)
Plusses - can access your nose to equalize naturally - this is the major advantage of this design.
Ffm advantages of breathing thru nose and no mask pressure points
Minuses -
Minuses - it fits a little small on me, I wish I could get a larger size
- I get some "buffering" occasionally only when breathing through nose

I've been diving for 25 yrs and decided I wanted to try Full Face Mask (FFM). In my pool I experimented with an ocean reef neptune G and a Drager Panorama Sport. It fogged some but nothing crazy, I kept a little bit of water in the lens section to swish around. Unlike the G Diver air does not pass over the glass. It clears easy and removal/replace underwater is simple. Only downside is there is no surface breathing valve available yet. OTS told me it was in the works

I own an Ocean Reef G Diver which is a great mask but servicing is expensive. This mask allows me to use just about any reg and cut my servicing cost by 2/3rds. Its also better for traveling then my G Diver, less fragile.By Eric moore on August 9, 2018
