I hate giving bad reviews but stay away from this product.
I know designers work hard to create products that are useful, practical and interesting, the problem is when they try to achieve dirt cheap prices with way below sub par manufacturing.
This is the unfortunate case of this waffle maker.
I liked the idea of the exchangeable plates that allowed to make waffles, sandwiches and paninis with one tool. I didn’t like the Teflon idea but sometimes is imposible to avoid...
From the first use the machine had this odd smell, but it was performing ok, and we though it would go away with the uses.. like most products manufactured in China ...
after a few uses the machine still produced that weird plasticky smell, started overheating on the outside and later we noticed the lightbulb covers started to look weird.
After just another couple of uses, this is it. See the pictures for yourself. The plastic covers completely fell off, they were bent out of shape by heat, something inside still kept making some smell and now this machine is going to the dumpster.
The idea of the interchangeable plates allowing multiple uses is great, the absolutely horrible manufacturing just kills this product.
