FAQs:

Why can't the filaments stick to the build bed?

1. Check the temperature setting before printing, PETG filaments have higher extrusion temperature than that of PLA;

2. Check if the plate surface has been used for a long time, it is recommended to replace it with our new one to ensure a strong first layer adhesion;

3. If the first layer has poor adhesion, it is recommended to re-level the print substrate to reduce the distance between the nozzle and the surface plate;

4. If the effect is not good, it is recommended to try printing the draft before printing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great filament for the price (HIGHLY recommended!!!)
By Crystal L on May 18, 2019
* UPDATE: 11/4/2019 *

I recently tested the new Overture PETG Orange and, as always, I could not expect anything else but great results. I printed a 3D Benchy at 150% scale in order to test stringing and bridging. Besides the line on the hull, a well known Prusa Slicer issue due to the way it prints infill and solid layers, the print came out great as shown in the pictures.

My print settings were exactly the same as of all my Overture 3D PETG colors:

- 250C / 240C
- 90C / 85C
- 10mm /s first layer / Prusa MK3S stock profile for all others with 4 perimeters and 15% Gyroid infill.
- thin wall / bridge detection

As standard, it comes with a great resealable bag and a free 200x200 build surface, which has a very good texture for PETG as well as PLA.

I have more of the new colors on the way. Can't wait to post the results here.

If you are interested in a great PETG at a very honest price, Overture 3D is your go to brand, no questions asked...

Overture 3D PETG filaments (all colors):

Super easy to print,
Almost zero stringing (although this is really up to your printer settings),
Great layer to layer adhesion
No issues with bed adhesion (print slow for the first layer!)
Excellent reusable vacuum sealed bag.

You get a free 200x200 build sheet with each filament you buy.

Print settings (UPDATED):
Printer: Original Prusa i3 MK3S
Slicer: Prusa Slicer 2.0 (Prusa MK3S Print Settings)
Nozzle: 250C / 240C (2+ layers)
Bed: 90C (1st layer) / 90C (other layers)
Print speed: 8mm/s / 45mm/s (2+ layers)
Retraction: 0.8mm @ 35mm/s
Z hop: 0.6mm

The clear PETG was launched recently, but it is as great as the other ones and prints exactly the same way.

If you are looking for a great filament for an honest price, look no further!! Overture 3D is your go to filament!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Clear as they come
By Shelby Tench on August 13, 2019
With a bit of sanding and buffing this stuff comes out nearly crystal clear! Their was also very low stringing and good strength. All in all highly recommended! Iv'e tried 4-5 different brands and so far this stuff is one of the cheapest and best.

5.0 out of 5 stars Flexible, strong, and actually clear
By Nick Robitsch on January 11, 2020
Clear, not milky white, its actually clear!

Once I got everything tuned on my printer, I was able to get some really nice looking prints out of it. If you print it with minimal infill, it can be very clear. Above is with no infill, and 0.8mm walls.

Great for printing RC planes, as its light, flexible, impact resistant, and heat resistant. Being clear helps identify when something has gone wrong inside as well.

Best bang for your buck as far as Clear PETG goes. Have had great results all the way through to the end, and now I am back for a 3 pack and realized, I should probably write a review for this stuff.

So there you have it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Impressive!!
Reviewed in Canada on November 28, 2019
First PETG filament from any brand, initially had some difficulties to get it print correctly. I suggest reading up on difference between PETG vs PLA or ABS before trying out PETG for the first time. It is still more difficult to print than PLA but the physical characteristics of PETG outweighs the cons! It prints strong objects that are very functional in most applications where mechanical strength is important. I printed Dyson supersonic wall holder and was worried that it may break off on layers if stressed but the layer adhesion is super strong! Also, built custom magnifying glass with LED light where parts are held together with screws. If PLA was used it may crack and break off but PETG is holding up very well. So I decided to print the rest of the articulating arm parts with it. I print at 250C hotend and 80C heated bed. Once finished, let it cool completely then raise bed temperature to 80C before taking the printed parts off the build plate. Otherwise the prints will easily take pieces of the build plate off. Perhaps better to use hairspray or glue stick to prevent PETG making direct contact with the build plate. My printer is Ender 3.

PROS:
* Super strong layer and build plate adhesion
* Strong but still flexible
* finished print can be sanded
* withstand high temperature much better than PLA does
* price
* love the build plate sticker (but only 20cmx20cm) and small ruler

CONS:
* runny, stringy, difficult to print fine details cleanly (common issues with PETG)
* can destroy your build plate (I had to order a new one)
* some details are difficult to print - bridges for example
