The plastics inner basket/colander on ours cracked near the center where it sits and spins on pointed part of steel main body. Oxo has no replacement for that basket either for curtesy replacement or for customer purchased part.
Super glues are not food safe in any amount, and food safe epoxies are not made for immersion nor flex, so repair is not really possible.
I think it is reasonable since the exact same product is still made and sold to have a replacement basket part for sale -- yet there is none according to oxo support line.

I ordered this salad spinner to replace A plastic oxo salad spinner that I bought about 12 years ago. The old salad spinner still worked, but the spinning mechanism just wasn’t spinning fast enough to get my lettuce as dry as I like. The only real difference between the new salad spinner and the old one is the metal work bowl, which I really like. The new metalwork bowl feels sturdy without being too heavy. An improvement over the old spinner is the ease in which the spinner lid separates into the two basic components, for easy cleaning (see my photo). The old lid was very tricky to separate and clean, but the new lid could not be easier. It just snaps on and off.The performance of the new salad spinner is excellent. With very little effort the salad spinner spins like a top, throwing off the water of my salad greens, making salad preparation really easy.Cleaning the salad spinner is extremely easy as well. Although I do recommend hand drying the metal bowl immediately after washing so that water spots don’t develop on the bowl. If you don’t mind water spots, then let it air dry and that makes cleanup that much easier. Overall, this is an excellent product that I highly recommend.

Best salad spinner money can buy. I am DONE with plastic spinners. They crack in a year of use. They cost 30-40$ and i have to buy a new spinner annually. Finally mustered up the guts to buy this stainless steel spinner. So far, this is the best spinner by far. You get what you pay for. Unless the LID itself breaks, I probably wont buy another spinner again.

-- spinner with one push, is often sufficient
-- inside colander is better plastics than 30-40$ spinners
-- no silly clamps to secure the lid on -- it just stays on by gravity
