My wife and I got married almost eight years ago. Someone gave us a can opener from another brand, and it fell apart/started having issues after less than a year. Granted, we used it almost every day, but still, not a good track record for something that cost quite a bit for what it was. When we looked for a replacement, we made sure to read reviews. The ones we read about this can opener seemed good, so we gave it a shot - and it has been great this whole time!
A few highlights:
- It is made of very durable, high quality materials that have a good weight to them. You can tell it's built to last.
- It is very easy to use. The handle is nice and grippy, and it's ergonomic for both my wife's tiny hands and my not-so-small ones (which I inherited from my dad, lol). The handle also provides enough leverage that it doesn't take a huge level of effort to turn while opening a can.
- It cleans/dries easily. We still usually dab up any loose water and then leave it open to air dry, but we have yet to see any signs of rust or corrosion.
That said, I realize this is "just" a can opener, but we like ours enough that I decided it was worth writing a review about it. If you're in the market for one, you can't go wrong with this one!

Absolutely great. The cat's meow of can openers. The opener is smooth, effortless to use, and cleanly opens cans.I have bought several cheap to mid-grade can openers over the years. They work OK - for a while. They are rough and hard to open a can, inevitably they have issues and don't open well and I am stuck struggling to pry open a partially opened can.
