These pans are incredibly poor quality, and therefore extremely dangerous. I have never exposed them to any swift temperature changes, moisture while hot, or placement directly on the countertop while hot. Apparently these precautions weren't sufficient however, because yesterday when I picked up the pan to put it away after it had been hand washed and dried, it cracked in half and sliced my arm open. This is no exaggeration, the cut warranted a trip to the ER and 9 stitches. You will save money in the long run by purchasing a higher quality pan, and therefore avoiding a trip to the emergency room. Buyer beware.

Not reliable, breaks after only a couple of months of light use

Product broke after only 2 months of light to average use. When the product broke, it left an extremely sharp edge that would be dangerous if someone was holding it while it broke. Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed in the product and will not be buying it again.

I was so excited to have found this product until I received it. I should start by saying the product was not defective but there is an issue with the design if you ask me. I purchased it because I wanted to have a way to store my pies and quiches in the fridge. I was thinking this would have been like a Tupperware type thing but it wasn't. The lid has 4 large vent holes on the top. Its almost like a microwave plate cover. That's great if they wanted to vent the lid just in case you wanted to re-warm your quiches etc but have something that could twist over the holes in order to keep it all covered so you could store it in the fridge to keep foods fresh without letting air in. I wish I had known about the vents I would have never wasted my time or $$$ just to be let down. Sorry OXO

We got this for our wedding and loved it. We use it very often. Unfortunately, about a year after the wedding, the glass shattered in my hand and caused a severe injury.m. I had taken it out of the cabinet and was about to use it for dinner, so no weird temperature changes and I didn’t drop it or anything like that. We trust the Oxo brand, so I we actually bought another and are hoping this was just a fluke. Do be careful with it, though! If this one breaks on us too, we will know it’s just poor craftsmanship :(
