I'm unsure how I feel about the reamers. They are hollow which is great for getting every bit of the citrus out of the rind. However, this results in a lot of pulp. And they're hollow. So they fill with pulp. I guess it's nice that they fill with pulp before the outside strainer holes get clogged. It's well balanced, you're basically pushing the fruit straight toward the counter and twisting. I'm just afraid that the plastic will eventually break since the wide flared out area seem to be a weak point, and you are basically pressing there.
Anyhow, I basically do 6 orange halves until it's clogged, scrape out the pulp with a spoon into a container, and then continue juicing. If you're interested in wet orange pulp for smoothies in addition to your orange juice it's probably actually a pretty great purchase. Lemons are no problem, I've done 6 of them without clogging.
the best use is for squeezing fresh OJ in the morning. i take a few oranges and half them, squeeze until i get every drop. i use the pulp that gets caught in the metal strainer too, if you like pulp just take the curved plastic and metal center piece and tilt it, the pulp drops in. gives you that option.
