The Oxo Good Grips Cookie Spatula combines the strength of stainless steel with the advantages of silicone. The silicone outer layer, which is heat resistant to 600 Fahrenheit and safe for non-stick cookware, is bonded to a flexible stainless steel core for added stability. The Spatula’s thin, flexible edge glides easily beneath all foods and is the perfect size for getting between cookies on a crowded baking sheet or removing one brownie at a time from the pan. The rounded corner is great for getting sticky cookie dough out of the spoon and the angled handle keeps your hand away from fragile foods and hot dishes. The Cookie Spatula has a soft, comfortable, non-slip grip and is the perfect companion to non-stick cookware and bakeware.

The big drawback for me is that mine has broken (see pictures). It's only $8 and I will buy a new one cause I love it, but I've had it for maybe a year and am disappointed that it won't last longer. The point where the handle is fastened to the metal square has bent and torn, to the point that the metal is broken and the silicone covering it is ripped on the bottom. Food gets in this hole, but the dishwasher seems able to get it out.I took these pictures about three months ago, and the spatula is still usable now, but the tear in the metal is much longer. Any day now it's going to be unusable, and I will buy a new one then, but I'm still using it now.
PROs: Flexible, non-scratch, non-stick, and just the right size for cookies; works great in combination with my silicone baking mats.
I ordered one of these a few years ago in search of the right size to get a warm cookie off the sheet without crushing nearby cookies. This worked perfectly, so perfectly that I realized I needed another one, since it always seemed to be in the dishwasher when I needed it again. The silicone washes easily by hand or comes out perfectly from the dishwasher. The "cookie" size is great not only for cookies but for anyone who bakes small items or uses small pans (like in a toaster oven). I'm so sold on these that I've gotten rid of all my other spatulas and replaced with the various sizes of these silicone spatulas for all my spatula needs.
I just used this spatula this morning to turn 3 eggs in a very small pan. Since it is small, it can easily get under the individual egg without making a mess. Since it is silicone, the spatula does not stick to the pan or the egg, frying pan debris, It works perfectly. I've only broken one egg since I started using it (2 times a week for about 2 months). The handle is short and curved just right for my purposes.
You can see the "base", which is metal, through the silicone. I don't think it will break through, though, as long as you don't leave it resting in a hot pan, maybe not even then. I think it would take a tremendous amount of use for it to wear through. By then one probably needs a new one anyway.
This is a terrific small spatula and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a small compact spatula.
I recently purchased a replacement OXO "cookie spatula" when the first one sadly failed. I had it for about five years before the head broke off when my son was using it as a drum stick ;)
