[2 year review!] Ergonomic, seems dishwasher safe, a little heavy, great quality

I've been using this for two years before I wrote this review. Disclosure: I usually chop off the hard/woody bottoms of garlic in general.Fresh or frozen garlic stands no match against this OXO garlic press. After two years of heavy use it seems to be holding up fine.Typical use looks like this... Throw 1-3 cloves of garlic in. Close and press. Open, throw 1-3 cloves more garlic in. It does not seem to get clogged.Once I am done crushing said garlic, I take a knife and run it parallel where the crushed garlic comes out of to free any stringy bits before the next step. I then use the red grid grate thing by folding it inversely to clear the metal grate.A quick scoop of the garlic holder with a finger and you can throw that in your food or throw it out.The only minor hassle I have is if I want to add more then a few cloves to something and do not want to set it down. But other then that it's a great product. And has help up well!If the grates look generally clean I leave it on the top shelf of my dishwasher and it comes out clean, no problems -- unsure if it's "really" dishwasher safe but I do it.
