For $10, it has solid construction. A good handle, a great blade, even a small ruler on the bottom of the blade. The knock on the star isn't for lack of quality compared to price, I assure you that.
The problem is that it's been sitting around for a while now without any use.
My family, we cook. We bake. I come home to salmon picatta, rattatouile, homemade pizza, fresh made antipasta salad... I try to bake cookies, or bread, or cake at least once a week. My wife is the chef, and I am the sous and the baker. We know our way around an amateur home kitchen, we have the hardware to boot, and we love using our hands to make our family and friends yummy victuals.
So with that in mind... I thought I would use this as, well, a chopper and a scraper. That has not come to pass. In fact, I haven't found a use for it yet that a knife, pizza cutter (roller or straight), hands, or other tool doesn't do just as well.
Bottom line: get this is you know you need it, pass if you don't know precisely what you'll use it for.

If Oxo made cars, I'd buy one :-)
FYI nobody gave me nuthin' for this review ( and my policy is to not buy stuff with a bunch of freebie reviews. Amazon has to stop this.).

I have used it to scoop onions, garlic, celery, etc. It is a must have to save the sharp edge of your knife.
I also have used it to make yeast rolls. It cut the dough and did not stick. It have measurements to help cut the dough in pieces or you can use it to slice cookies that have been rolled and chilled, or the frozen cookie dough kind...I liked it so much I got one for my 80 something mother and she loves it!!

The first thing that surprised me is that it is actually bigger than I expected, especially the handle which is made of rubber and is sort of rounded. The blade is perfect for scraping dough, but I especially love it for scooping cut veggies (which is the primary reason I got it), but it also cuts dough, although it isn't a knife and is not dangerously sharp (you still have to pay attention to what you are doing though).
The bottom of the blade is a mini ruler which is in INCHES (yay!) and is handy for things like cutting out ravioli pasta if you want all your ravioli to be the same size.
I really do like using this tool, I am sure there are a bunch of other things I will end up using this for, but for now, it has been very helpful with the chopped veggies. Very sturdy and excellent quality.
I also use it to transfer chopped veggies etc. from the cutting board -- more efficient than cupping your hand and knife together to scoop 'em up!
