OXO Roll-Up Bib:
Make mealtime messes manageable with the OXO Tot Bib. The soft, food-safe pocket is wide enough to catch virtually any stray pieces of food that miss baby’s mouth. The fabric portion of the Bib provides ample coverage to protect baby’s clothes, and is shaped for comfort during mealtime. When you’re out and about, simply roll the Bib’s fabric into the silicone pocket, secure closed and tuck into a diaper bag. The silicone pocket keeps the messy Bib away from the contents of the diaper bag. Easy-to-use Velcro closure is secure enough to resist tot’s tugging (really!) and is adjustable as your little one grows. The Bib’s length and soft pocket won’t interfere with the high chair tray or table. Both the fabric and silicone materials are easy to wipe clean.
It’s the Little Things:
At OXO, we consistently develop products that address even the tiniest of pet peeves, because we know it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. As parents ourselves, we tested many different types of bibs and wanted to combine the comfort of the fabric with the flexibility and cleanability of silicone.
Features & Benefits:
There are numerous advantages to using a drying rack instead of a dryer: it minimizes the amount of wear on clothing (extending the lifetime of that favorite pair of pants), can help cut your energy bill by more than $100 per year, and reduces the number of wrinkles!
OXO is dedicated to providing innovative consumer products that make everyday living easier. How do we do it?
We study people – lefties and righties, male and female, young and old – interacting with products and identify ways to make them better. Our “question everything” process and relentless attention to detail uncover the best solutions for slicing, peeling, whisking, baking, stirring, washing, scrubbing, dusting, storing and organizing.

The Babybjorn clasp comes undone too easily. A yank by the child in any direction will pop it out. Also, there is a risk of throat trauma if your child sticks the hard plastic cord in his mouth. The Oxo clasp is made of velcro which is slightly more difficult for your child to undo. It is also totally safe if your child starts chewing or sucking on it.
The Babybjorn plastic is very stiff which can be uncomfortable around the child's neck. When your child is small, the bib may rest on the table or tray and get pushed up into the neck area. My kids found this uncomfortable and would frequently try to yank off the bib.
The Oxo material is nylon in the upper area which is as soft and flexible as a shirt. It conforms to your child's neck which creates a superior seal. The lower bib area is made of soft rubbery material which is much more pliable and forgiveable than the Babybjorn. The Oxo will not get pushed up into the neck when it rests on a tray.
The Babybjorn does not fold up in any way. The Oxo rolls up nicely and stays in place with a tab. This makes the Oxo much more portable.
The catch-all pocket is vastly superior to a flat bib in keeping food from ending up on the chair or floor. The pocket also gives your child a chance to "recycle" food by grabbing food out of the pocket. Both the Oxo and Babybjorn can function effectively and can be washed in the dishwasher. However, the Oxo is the clear choice because it is superior in comfort, safety, and portability.
Our son is 12 months old, and has been using 2 bibs for the past 6 months. I bought 2 to be able to rotate, and always have a dry one. I make sure the material completely dries out between feedings, and I am religious about using soap on them after each feeding--I wash it at the same time I wash the high chair tray. (FYI--the material does keep the moisture off the baby's chest; it feels like a specialized material that you'd find in a high-end gym bag to keep moisture from seeping into a different compartment).
Also, I'd like to mention that I did try cleaning, including a bleach soak, followed by drying in the sun, and no luck in getting the mold to disappear. I'm not a 'mold freak' about it being on my kid, I just am annoyed by the fact that I can't get the bib clean, so it's basically rendered useless in my book.
SWITCHING BRANDS: So far I've tried the 'Summer Infant' bib, and that does the job, but it doesn't nearly have the nice curve to catch the food that the OXO bib has; too bad).
I'D BUY: Only to store in my diaper bag for mobile feedings. I like the fact that it curls up and locks closed. Even with the drippy, sloppy feedings of a toddler it kept his neck dry.
I'D STAY AWAY: From using this as a daily bib.
Last item to mention: I live in a dry climate in Southern California--aka a desert--so general humidity in the air is not an issue that would contribute to this problem.
This OXO bibs are fantastic!!
- the part that tie on the baby's neck is made of washable fabric, kind of a parachute cloth, with Velcro making it very easy to adjust.
- The fabric is gentle on my baby's neck.
- you can roll it up and take it with you. Very practical.
- the collecting basket is made of soft silicone, very comfortable as she leans over the table.
- machine washable Bib
- great quality
- nice vibrant colors, love the pink!
I highly recommend this Bib. For four months I've been washing it daily and it still feels like new. Buy it!!
This is a great toddler bib. I tried the Baby Bjorn plastic bibs, but my son was not a fan of them at all. He screamed and acted like they were a torture device. I am a huge fan of the OXO Tot line of products, and I found this bib on Amazon and decided it was worth a try. I got a blue and green one, and I love them. They're a coated fabric on top that won't soak through but is comfortable on your little one's neck, and then a soft plastic catch-all on the bottom. It rolls up perfectly, and stays closed with the little tab thingie (very technical). This is the perfect size to throw in the diaper bag rolled up, and then when your little one is done using it, just clean out the catch-all and roll it up to keep the mess contained. I put the dirty spoon (OXO Tot spoons with the carry case) inside the catch-all and roll it all up together, so when we get home I know what is dirty and what's not. Love OXO Tot!
