not enough...I was still pouring 1/2 of my product on the
counter top..decided to find another set that actually worked!
These do! And they do NOT slide around on the counter/table top either.
A nice set for newlyweds setting up house. Just watch that you don't
do what I did, I thought there was another larger bowl and ordered it
(well, you might actually READ...I guess I didn't!) so I ordered and now
have another of the largest bowl in this set...but that's not all bad =)
This is really a great set, another fine Amazon product.
the rubberized base and lip-handle are sticky even if your surface or hands are wet, greasy, or floured, keeping the bowl upright when others may slip. the pouring lip is perfectly engineered for thick liquid, thin, or heavy batters.
so, a year ago i bought one set, an additional 5 qt. bowl, and an additional 1 qt. bowl, as well as two sets of the 4 covered 1 cup prep bowls.
after making baklava last night i decided i needed three of the 1 qt. bowls (one bowl for each layer of the nut mixture, set out in advance... speed matter with philo dough.) so i am back for another set.
these bowls are so useful and used so frequently in the kitchen that they live on wire shelves i have placed by the main work area so that i may reach for them at any point and have them available for the job at hand.
best of breed
We use at least one bowl from this set pretty much every day -- mostly for stirring batters and for eating salads from -- and they are still in excellent condition. We even gave up and started washing them in the dishwasher about half of the time -- both the bottom *and* top rack, depending on where we have space -- because we are rebels that way. (Also, lazy about hand-washing.) No issues at all.
There are a few scratches on the inside (after all, they do get heavy use and we're not always careful), but the bowls themselves are still going strong and the bottoms and handles work perfectly with no cracking or scratching. I've found that some sauces (such as spaghetti sauce or other pasta mixes) will temporarily stain the white plastic, but they do wash out eventually, especially if you let the bowls soak for a bit. And considering they're mixing bowls, not meant for display, we don't mind the temporary discoloration.
They also nest easily, are light and easy to pick up, and come in a nice variety of sizes. The handle shape is more suited for holding the bowl still while mixing rather than picking up and pouring with one hand while scooping out the insides with a spatula. Still, it's hard to beat. Highly recommended!

My favorite mixing bowls by far. The rubber bottom keeps them from slipping around when mixing, and the rubber handle grip let's you hold on tight. Read morePublished 22 months ago by Thor71
