I won't get the chance to test these on the snow until my Japan trip in Jan 2018, however I can give you my initial impressions. The Switchlock system is super convenient in changing out lenses and fairly fast, initially I had problems with the bridge not fitting properly and having a gap as some other reviewers have mentioned, however I found that this was entirely my own fault in not seating the lens properly into the frame when switching the lenses out, this is remedied by walking my thumbs along the front of the lens making sure it all seats properly before re-engaging the Switchlock.
The fit with these goggles is infinitely better than my old Anon's for my face, there is now absolutely no nose pinch with these and I can breathe easy. I usually have a problem with nose pinch having a wider Asian nose, but with the Oakley's the relief in nose pinch has come from the foam in the bridge of the goggles sitting higher up on my nose, where other manufacturers seem to sit lower.
They fit really well with my Anon Prime helmet leaving me with great vision and without have to manipulate my helmet into a weird position on my head to accommodate the large frames. Other reviewers have said that they can see the gasket for the dual pane lens, whilst this is true, the field of view is so large that I barely notice it and seriously doubt anyone would notice while out on the mountain.
I'll update my review after getting some time with these on the snow, but for now these are getting a 5 star rating.
1) the gasket that runs around the perimeter of the lens is set too high around the nose, you can actually see underneath the gasket itself and once you know it's there, it is hard to ignore. I read others complaining about this same thing so wasn't just my pair
2) The frame seems incredibly flimsy and creaky. I was able to push up on the nose part of the frame and actually move it under the lens with very little effort. The outrigger system also seems very flimsy. The only thing preventing the outrigger from popping right off the frame is a very small corner of the outrigger itself. It just doesn't look or feel very rugged at all.
Although I wasn't able to test these on the mountain, the amount of ventilation is much less than what is on the Flight Decks or my older Crowbars, by comparison.
On the other hand, changing lenses is as easy as they say and Prizm is fantastic!
Unfortunately, the lens has two large scratches that are more than 2 centimeters long.
I feel bad about the scratch on the new lens.
I have to use this lens right away so I can't hang any compelain.
Be careful not to bring the perfect new product.
