Non-fuming, does not produce offensive odors or gases normally associated with other drain openers. Ideal for institutional, home, hospital, factory and office building use where strong odors are objectionable. Non-acid, powerful action crystalline flakes provide high surface area to the clog. Large flakes quickly dissolve grease, hair, soap, food and other organic material. Works faster than liquid caustic or bleached-based openers and is more economical to use. Glug can be used for both emergency and preventive maintenance treatments of clogged or slow moving drains and waste lines. Safe for septic systems when used as directed. Contains no phosphates or aluminum. Hot water formula will not solidify in drains. Will not stain and is harmless to most metal and plastic pipes, valves and fittings and will not damage chrome, brass or fine plumbing fixtures. Avoid contact with aluminum pipe or utensils, acrylic and fiberglass bathtubs, basins and surfaces. Available in four convenient-sized containers with child-resistant caps. Glug is also available in clog-specific liquid formulations for kitchen or bath. Both dry and liquid products are not sales-restricted. Not to be used for clogged toilet bowls or completely stopped drains

I tried this, and the first time I used it I noticed a HUGE improvement. I have to use it once every two weeks because of the age of the building / bad drainage...but at least I can take a shower without standing in ankle deep water! Thanks Glug! :D
My personal notes:
To heat the pipes, I always fill up a tea kettle all the way, and use 1/2 of it, and wait for that to drain. Next I apply GLUG (roughly 1C), then just enough hot water for it to start doing it's thing. You don't want to add a ton of water or it will just run down the drain and won't work. After waiting 5-10 minutes, I pour the remainder of the kettle down, and that's it!
On my first use this product solved the problem.
Water is draining normally. I do recommend watching U Tube on using it. The directions were a bit ambiguous. Directions said to use warm water, while U Tube stated very hot or boiling water works best. Also, pour it in the drain but let it overflow over the drain opening. I'd use half a cup. Do ventilate. Open a window or if you have a bathroom fan turn it on.
Priduct does work great and will save you expensive plumbers fee's
I'd also use it once a month or so as maintance
1. CONTRARY to the label, this stuff DOES stink and smells toxic (thus the poison label on the bottle). Simply pouring the crystals out of the container creates dust. Don't let the dust get in your lungs. WEAR GLOVES AND EYE PROTECTION. This stuff "fizzles" up when activated and you don't want it on you or in your eyes. (it's 100% Sodium Hydroxide....Google it!)
2. Use boiling hot water when you are told to rinse it down a bit. The hotter the better it "fizzes" and seems to create the chemical reaction.
The 1 cup recommendation is 1/2 the bottle so plan accordingly.
My drain seemed to have cleared up and drained exceptionally well (for 15 years of never having to use any type of drain cleaner).
The product works perfectly with our drains and was very safe to work with: it doesn't get caustic until it comes in contact with VERY hot water. So don't worry about getting the crystals on your hands, as long as you don't wash your hands in hot water.
We keep this on hand all the time for our plumbing now. It ships with the bottle in its own zip bag so it's not going to possibly leak out during shipment. 5 stars all around.
Carefully followed directions on the container and a few minutes later, water was draining great. Only wish I could buy it nearby instead of ordering it online.
