I was pleasantly surprised how much better it works than light cutting oil, motor oil, hydraulic fluid or WD40.
I use it with hand taps and cutting threads on the lathe. The difference is most noticeable on the lathe. With Oatley clear cutting oil the threads must be cleaned with a wire brush or triangular file. With this dark oil, I just blow the chips off with an air hose. It makes that much difference.
Very dark in color and has some odor to it. It's much better then Tap Magic .
But hey don't take my word for it. Try it yourself.
