    Ewan McGregor is a first rate actor. He has invested years developing his craft. No one else could come close to doing "Obi-Wan Kenobi" like he can. He took that second rate (crappy script) script and turned it into an enjoyable mini series. BUT.... Disney wants people to work for nothing while they rake in a ton of our money. Ewan has been quoted that he would be happy to do more Star Wars projects. BUT... they do not want to pay him. They are saturating the Star Wars universe with HORRIBLE scripts. Cathline Kennedy ( I have her name wrong) is herself running everything into the ground. WE , I you agree with my "rant" need to start a signature protest to oust her or get her to stop the greed and horrible scripts. We need to get Disney to put the money and "love" back into it and they will be rewarded with the Fans and profits in the long run. Cheers! Add on to my review...The 4K is not very good transfer. If standard Blu Ray is less money I am pretty sure you won't miss anything.

    Another Disney series in glorious 4K! I’m old school and love my physical media so any Star Wars 4K is a day one purchase. Reviews for the show itself can be found elsewhere and I don’t want to spoil anything not already given away by the cover art, suffice to say I did enjoy it and have watched it a couple of times.

    The package itself has nice art cards and attractive graphics on the steelbook. Very nicely done overall! J-card protects a bit during shipping but I’d feel a lot more confident ordering these from Amazon if they stopped sending these in bubble mailers.

    My only complaint is as much as I advocate for physical media, I do enjoy the convenience of digital and these release do not give you a digital copy for your library. Hopefully this will be possible one day but I understand Disney+ needs to have exclusivity for its growth.
    My item arrived in great condition despite not being in a box and is ready to add to my steelbook collection. I do hope they will keep adding all the Star Wars series as 4K Steelbooks even if they weren’t as successful as the marquee shows Madolorian, Andor, etc.

    I was shocked that Disney released its Disney+ titles on physical media. It made my day, please release more. I want to collect the whole Disney+ line of Star Wars movies and shows... well, maybe not the whole Disney+ line. The Acolyte was pretty bad.

    “Obi-Wan Kenobi: The Complete Series” collects all six episodes of the titular series featuring the returns of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan and Hayden Christensen & James Earl Jones as Darth Vader. Also returning to the “Star Wars” galaxy are Joel Edgerton as Owen Lars, Bonnie Piesse as Beru Lars, Jimmy Smits as Bail Organa, Temuera Morrison as a Veteran Clone Trooper, Ian McDiarmid as Emperor Palpatine, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, and Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn. The series begins nine years prior to “A New Hope” with Obi-Wan laying low on Tatooine, doing odd jobs and trying to keep an eye on a young Luke Skywalker (Grant Feely). Meanwhile, the Emperor’s Inquisitors search the galaxy for Jedi-in-hiding and the Force-sensitive, who they can either recruit to the Emperor’s cause or eliminate as threats. When bounty hunters kidnap Princess Leia (Vivien Lyra Blair), Bail Organa calls upon Obi-Wan for help. This pulls Obi-Wan out of his self-imposed exile and exposing him to Inquisitor Reva (Moses Ingram), the Fifth Brother (Sung Kang), and the Grand Inquisitor (Rupert Friend). Reva seeks to use the capture of Obi-Wan to seize power, playing her own political games within the Empire’s elite divisions.

    The series neatly bridges the events of “Revenge of the Sith” and “A New Hope” without too much trouble. It leaves room for “The Bade Batch,” “Solo,” “Andor,” and “Rebels,” though it works to help cap off the prequel era and the focus on the Force rather than some of the more everyday stories found in those other series. There are some excellent performances all around, but fans will particularly love the return of Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen, who give phenomenal performances as they know it may be their last opportunities to portray these characters together. Bonus features on this Blu-ray set include “Duels of Fate” examining the lightsaber battles of Obi-Wan and Darth Vader, “The Dark Times: Villains” looking at the lore of the Inquisitors, “Designing the Galaxy” that looks at Leia’s droid Lola and the world-building in the series, and director’s commentary with Deborah Chow. It also includes art cards based on the show.

    Don't bother buying this: For this type of series, the acting is mediocre if not poor (ok I am not an actor, but also I am not paid megabucks like those acting that doesn't transpire in these types of series!), also the plot is not that interesting or nor is impactful, and the casting apart from McGregor is woke and mediocre. The set look plasticky (when McGregor is in his cave the rock looks shiny plasticky). It is painful to watch after watching The Mandalorian or the main Star War movies. Other child actor would have been better than the one chosen for princess Leia, her running is terrible and seen being chased by the mercenaries is just really painful to watch. This is like watching the 60's Lost in Space mixed with a bit of the Matrix and Batman but with no effort on the acting or the plot. Very disappointing and the worst is that you have to fork out a lot of money as they only sell this rubbish as steel book edition which costs a lot. Good for business for Disney but bad for the consumer/fans!
