Like Electrify Me before it, Objectify Me leaves you charged and wanting more. Follow Levi, (who appeared briefly in Electrify Me as Charlie's dispatcher for Seattle City Light) as he is sent to The Big Easy on a mission from Mom to "get over himself". What he finds is a whole lot more as Ms. Rizer blows your mind once again with a thrilling night fraught with discovery, lust, love, sex and wrapped up tight with a bow of beautiful disaster that leaves most of the parties involved wrecked and forever changed.
I honestly don't know how she does it but damned if I don't want more. I can't wait to see what is next in this series of short but satisfying novellas! Just, YES PLEASE! Ma'am may I have another!?
‘Objectify me’ is the second novella in the series ‘Fireworks’. You don’t have to read the first book to read this one. It can be read as a standalone.
For the past year, Law student Levi Boronsky has been in love with a nice Jewish medical student. Because he believed that she came from an orthodox Jewish family, he has tried to live by the orthodox Jewish traditions, all in the hope that someday she would fall in love with him. But that didn’t happened. Instead she got engaged to someone else! That left Levi heartbroken and in a bad mood. His parents are sick of this and so his mother has send him to New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras there, in the hope that he will get over his bad mood. So, now he’s in New Orleans with his two best friends to party. Only Levi isn’t in the mood to party and especially not on some drug dealer’s riverboat. So he leaves his friends behind to go back to their hotel but he ends up in the high end gentlemen’s club ‘Objections’ where he meets Charlotte.
Being a lap dancer in the gentlemen’s club ‘Objections’ wasn’t what Charlotte had in mind when she was young but circumstances in her life has force her to find a good paying job. This job allows her to take care of her father, herself and to pay of her debts. So she can’t really complaint about it. Life is going by without much excitement until that one evening when she meets a cute college boy from Seattle at her workplace. She never expected that this meeting would lead to something more.
Because how could they have known that this one night will change their lives forever?!
That one unexpected meeting could grow in something?
I really enjoyed this story. The story was much more than I expected from a novella. Wow! That was one night that Charlotte and Levi had. I really liked both Charlotte and Levi. They were both very sweet. I liked that. The story was a little more ‘darker’ then I thought but that wasn’t bad. The story was well writing. I haven’t read the first novella in this series but after reading this I’m now very curious about it.
