A must-read for any philosophy fan. This is a compilation of all the articles written for The Objectivist magazine between the years of 1966 and 1971. This is fascinating reading, showing what the culture of the time period was like. Topics include psychology, the role and function of emotions, book and movie reviews, writing, education techniques, hippies and yippies, motivations underlying cultural pronouncements, foreign policy and a variety of others.
It is what you would expect from the brilliant mind of Ayn Rand. I feel like writing a review for this book is somewhat pointless, as anyone this interested in philosophy will already know the value of Ayn Rand's, or will have already concluded her philosophy is mistaken (although 99% of this group will not have actually read what she wrote).
These articles provide clear, logical analysis derived from a comprehensive philosophy. It is too bad other philosophies do not provide their views in such an open and honest manner.
