So funny and stays on mirror well

Oh my gosh, this is so funny! I love this sticker and it gets a lot of attention. I only put it on the driver side of my car, as the passenger side already has the pre engraved "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear". It stays on well after car washes as well. The first time I ordered it I believe it got lost in the mail and I contacted the seller and they replied promptly and helped me to get a replacement. I love this sticker!!

This is a fun little item I put on my Porsche mirror. I messed up the first one I put on because I assumed the laminate was supposed to stay on the mirror and it looked awful. When I peeled it off, some of the letters came off. I thought it was junk. HOWEVER, a minute later it hit me that I was the idiot. The letters are supposed to stay on the mirror and the laminate paper is supposed to be peeled off. So, after reading the instructions, I was able to install the second one correctly. Fortunately, I only needed one. It looks good now.

The lettering is great, but the transfer tape is a bit poor compared to some others I've used. I was unable to successfully manage to get either of the two to full transfer onto a very clean mirror. It really isn't an issue of quality so much as it is the size of the lettering. It just really isn't easy to transfer objects that small in such close quarters to each other. Perhaps if you removed the glass from your mirror and worked on a bench you could have better results but these just didn't work for me. Not a huge loss to be honest but would have been cool to have if it had worked out. I do this sort of detail work daily since I work as a mechanic in a car dealership and one of the last steps of intake for a vehicle is to slap on our crappy little dealer logo. The smaller letters just don't always work out so well. Your mileage may vary so don't let this review stop you from buying one and trying it you just be warned that you might not be able to successfully get all the letters onto your mirror.

The stickers look really good on my motorcycles mirrors. I'm a humorous person and enjoy a good laugh every now and again so I put these on my mirrors.

Pros:

1. Great length and height ratio (5in. long, about 1in. high)
2. Really smooth color (black)
3. Very noticeable (hard to miss)
4. Very affordable ($2.00)
5. Funny extra sticker :)
6. Fast shipping on a $2.00 item (about 4 business days)
7. No bends, tears or damage to the product upon arrival.

Cons:

1. A little bit of a pain to apply. Let me explain why,
Some people have already mentioned this in other reviews, but here was my problem: The stickers applied just fine and for the most part went on the mirrors without a hitch. The only problem I had was with one of them where the "S" in "Objects" and the "I" in "In" just refused to stick to the mirror. I cleaned the mirrors multiple times, rubbed a card on the backing multiple times and finally got them on there, but I don't think those two letters are going to stay. I got the second sticker on with no problem. I think it was really how quick I put the first one on that caused it.

Summary:

Overall the stickers are exactly what you're looking for and if you mess up on the application process it's probably your own fault. Make sure you apply very SLOWLY for them to go on the correct way. Other than that, you get exactly what you order.

I am satisfied with the stickers and they serve their purpose. I will be purchasing another set so I can fix the one.

*I only gave this product a 4 star rating because the stickers are a little bit of a pain to apply.*

my first order got lost in transit but it was no problem replacing. really like that about this. normally you'd get a hard time trying to get a replacement but that wasn't an issue at all here. really easy to apply. really good product. oh and someone got pulled over behind me in my picture. safe to say he's definitely losing

Not quite right...

Don't stick easily. Once mounted to the right side mirror, the words are jumbled by the original printed "objects are closer than they appear", so it is hard to read. Of course it can be placed in a different location on the mirror, but not as clever and defeats the joke. Would be improved by spacing the letters to better correspond to the original printed message (probably standardized) or with a white background wide enough to cover the original words.

Came in an envelope that was taped closed. Lowercase address and name. When opened there was the poorly printed text that was at least 3 sizes too large for the mirror. Bought it as a gift for my fathers G35, I was too embarrassed to give it to him and had to get him something else. In the picture I added a penny for size comparison. The text is HUGE. I would give it zero stars but thats not an option. I would not recommend this item.

product arrived promptly, and looks great but it is very difficult to apply, you must peel the clear tape and letters off the paper sheet and then apply to the mirror and practically crush the letters onto the mirror in order to get them to stick, once they have adhered you must carefully remove the clear tape while not pulling the letters off the mirror, it is definitely possible but be prepared for 20 minutes of tedious installation.

also remember that your passengers side mirror has that objects are closer warning engraved in it, so you probably ought to put this sticker at the top inside corner on both mirrors, as i did
