RES Tidmore has taken us once again on an epic journey to a place where we just have to know what happens next. A real page turner to find out if The Awakener is going to succeed in living another day. Will she reunite with her family? Will she be able to save her loved ones? Will her brother be able to bring back her best friend?
I couldn't put this book down as I was enthralled with the story. I loved the power and vulnerability of Tabitha. Her story is sad and yet she manages to delight in snow, and coffee.
I highly recommend reading the stories in order, but definitely a good book to read and I can't wait for the next installment!

In this book, Darren is sent to rescue The Seer from the mental institution. There is a lot of action in this story. A fight at the hospital, an unexpected passenger on the trip home, the fights between Darren and Gaven, the mystery concerning the baby, the discovery of the purpose of key players, the meaning of the title, Oblivion and of course, the shocking conclusion of this book that keeps you begging for more. The descriptions of these events are so nicely detailed the reader can easily "see" the action. And when minds are unlocked and explode with memories and forgotten information, it is captivating. This author has a gift to telling a story so outside our experience but able to paint it with words that brings it to life in our imagination. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Five Stars.

I loved the first book in this series and I fell in love with this book as well. The first book was the bonding of Gavin and Leora. This book is the bonding of the Darron and Tabitha.
This book was very intriguing as well, and kept me on edge throughout. There were a few parts that had some humor to them, but throughout it was suspenseful.
The fight to be able to make your own choices and to trust someone is a battle that Tabitha fights daily. She has always been obedient and done what she's supposed to do.
Can she go against what she is supposed to do? Can she take a stand and help instead of hurt Leora?
I was given an ARC for my honest review.

This series would make an awesome movie.I didn't plan on buying any books this year but had to get this one! Great storyline and strong characters. I got a little bored in certain areas, but the story made up for it. Will recommend.

I’m far from being a fan of the supernatural/paranormal genre, but now I’ve read both “Awaken” (the first book in the series) and “Oblivion” the sequel to that book. I think the author is able to inject intrigue in her characters, they all have special abilities, powers, and unique personalities, and that makes me want to figure out what their role is in this world, and how they will overcome the adversity that is in front of them.

While Awaken follows more the journey of Lily/Leora, “Oblivion” focuses more on Darron. I liked Darron’s personality a lot. He is very much a brute. He is used to fighting foes, protecting Leora, and butting heads with her lover, Gavin. But in this book, his relationships with literally every person in the book greatly challenges him to grow as a person. Foremost, he develops a relationship with Tabitha, forcing him to make choices and embrace feelings he has never experienced before. On top of his duty to protect Leora, he also seeks to rescue his mother from the dangers she faces. Not only do these characters provide diversity of personalities, but they all push each other to grow, strengthening each other, in their ultimate hopes of achieving victory against the forces against them.
