Must see before use：

1.When connected with desktop computer, the microphone could be used alone, when connected with laptop computer, please connect the laptop to electrical outlet or use a 48v phantom power to get enough power if the sound is not clear and high enough.

2. If your device could not provide enough power (when used with amplifier or mixer, etc.). The sound volume recorded might be low and please use a extra 48v phantom power adapter to connect it. (Phantom power adapter is not included).

The mount on this is very weak... stopped using after a month. Damaged my desk too.

Stopped using this after a month because as you move the microphone around, the mount to the desk is not very sturdy. I comes with a very cheap rubber sticker which pretty much is destroyed after a few turns. The mount gave out and also caused a scratch on my desk. I took it off to cause any further damage. The microphone and accessories are fine... but if you're looking for a microphone swing arm, look for a better more sturdier one.

Well, essentially wanted the whole set up. Then found out the (male) end of the cable was the wrong type because I use a Yamaha MG10XU, so I have replaced with much higher quality cable. Scissor arm broke upon installation. Soo I ended up purchasing a decent Tonor brand scissor arm. All in all for this price of 30 something, your getting a pretty decent upper lower to lower mid range microphone. A very cheap scissor arm, and a cable with the same quality as the microphone. If your just starting I would suggest the Aokeo Ak-60 over the 800BM microphones for overall quality of said microphone. They Aokeo AK-60 microphone is a soldly built microphone with a decent weight to it. you just need a decent sturdy arm to absorb any extra vibrations.
