    What a dilemma. I want to give five stars for the content, but a lone star for presentation, so we'll split it down the middle and give 2.5-3 stars. The book is so unwieldy. There is no way to easily return to the integral table of contents (TOC) and the navigation TOC is formatted as to be unusable. There are ways to format long, complex TOCs to make them user friendly. Also, a little more care could have been taken in editing/proofing the source material. Doing so would have demonstrated thoughtfulness to the reader and respect to the original authors.

    first of all, there are reasonable Occult books one can read. This book did not have them. second, even so it has some redeeming value to it. It does criticize just dismissing things out of hand which isn't a good strategy to take when investing stuff in some of the works and it also includes some skeptical and agnostic works in terms of belief and non-belif in this stuff to give a little bit of balance. However stuff like "The Omega File and the New World Order" and "The Majestic 12" and a couple of the UFO things sound like the ravings of mental patients and sadly though I see where a lot of modern conspiracy theories come from with this. Even if you don't believe, this is a good way to 1. check the other side and 2. practice your critical thinking. If you don't believe this stuff, this anthology won't change your mind, and if you do, you might not when you're done.

    The formatting in this book is extremely sloppy and made it a headache to read with text-to-speech as it would constantly get stuck on little sto-gaps in the formatting and would require some major work to get reading again. after a recent Kindle upgrade it won't do text-to-speech at all which I need as a blind guy, even though the book is listed as text-to-speech enabled.

    Overall this is not something I would waste my money on, despite how cheap it is.
