This is the opening of Colleen Coble's The Inn at Ocean's Edge. This mystery had more twists and turns than a roller coaster and a wide choice of suspects to keep you wondering. This was a fast paced read with an interesting and engaging main character and a stalwart hero that made for good chemistry. The secondary characters, including a young orca, were easy to sympathize with and all the antagonists - of whom there were plenty - were gloriously unlikable. I wanted them all to be guilty.
As is common in Collen Coble's books, the spiritual message was clearly discerned. In this case God's love and faithfulness through the most difficult of situations is clearly seen and appreciated by several main characters, including Claire and Luke.
This was an easy read and a nice way to spend an afternoon. Collen Coble never disappoints - I'll be eagerly awaiting her next.
Loved the book!!
This is a story about a young lady, Claire Dellamare who had disappeared from her 4th birthday. The plot thickens as she returns to that place from which she had disappeared. She brings up questions and asks her parents these questions, but no one could remember,until...........the flashbacks kept swimming beneath her consciousness and murder awaited. Then there is Luke-who does not know what to believe. His mother had disappeared the same year that Claire had disappeared. Was there a connection??
