Odd Adventures with your Other Father is a book that will haunt me for a long time. It’s Jack and Shawn’s love story, it’s horror in the shadows of normal life, and it’s a teenager’s grief and adaptation after loss.

I loved this book. It was amazingly clever in both how author Norman Prentiss told the story and the actual story itself. It is a mix of fantasy/horror and a sweet family story with a theme of homosexuality and homophobia. I cried at the sweetness of the ending and loved every second of this book. I highly recommend this and will be looking for more by this author.

A quick cool read. A little odd but kind of cool in the imagery and metaphor..... a good , fun creepy read.

Wow. I'm not sure I have the words to describe this book, and how much I enjoyed it. Heartbreaking. Uplifting. Intriguing. Amusing. Creative. Original. Well, it's a start anyway, but not nearly enough. On the surface, the story is about a father telling his daughter stories about her other father (now deceased) as a way to try to get to know him, and what he meant to them. It's really about life, love, family, and so much more. Just read it. You won't regret it. I guarantee it. :-)

Odd Adventures with your Other Father is a unique blend of supernatural and mystery, reflection and coming of age, sadness and love. A young girl learns about the father she never really knew through the stories her other father tells her of the weird adventures and experiences the two of them had. Many are based on real life situations, which can be more chilling and violent than any horror fiction.
Norman Prentiss is an excellent writer, and this book is one of his best.

A cool little story about family, freaks and fun with a touch of the supernatural to ice the cake. Engaging and enjoyable. I'd totally recommend this book and will look to read more from this author.

I'm not much for writing reviews, but I had to jot down a few lines about this. From the very first page, Odd Adventures with your Other Father was an engaging read. Mr. Prentiss did a bang up job of immersing me as a reader into the story. The story is unusual, original. Since one of the things I hate about reading reviews is possible spoilers, I'm going to leave it at this: read this book. You won't regret it.
