Contemporaries of the Triffids, the Lighthouse Keepers bowed out in 1986 via a sold-out show at Sydney's spacious Graphic Arts Club. Along the way the band had released an album (described by the NME as 'pure genius'), a mini-album and three singles including two genuine Australian classics in 'Gargoyle' and 'Ocean Liner,' and spent serious amounts of time based in London and touring around Europe. Ode to Nothing - the Best of the Lighthouse Keepers, brings together 15 tracks from the various releases and includes a 16 page booklet with tour diaries, unseen photos and press clippings.
