I wash my cloth diapers and wipes every 2 days. Though I am pretty sure I could get away with washing 3 maybe 4 days because this pail is big enough. This pail keeps the smell in. My sister spent 4 nights in a room with this and could not smell the dirty cloth diapers. My baby is 4mo and I have been using cloth diapers for 3mo now. She is breast fed baby. I know when she starts solids her poo will be alot stinker and will come back to comment on that. I do love it and have no regreats buying it. I use The Planet Wise Pale liner and it fits perfect. I do wipe down the bin on wash day.

Though this pail is a tad spendy for what you get, I would buy again and again. I bought 2 planet wise pail liners (7 gallon) to go with this. Thankfully, the lid closes fully and the clamps easily slide on even with the pail liner (the washable / reusable pail liners are quite thick, so I was a bit worried). It is much better than a regular kitchen-style trash can, which is what I was going to buy before finding this item. If tipped over, the contents stay inside and it prevents cloth diapering households from smelling like a cloth diapering household. ANYONE who CLOTH DIAPERS their children should have one of these. The side is PERFECT for 1 - 3 days, and contains my AIO diapers, liners, and cloth wipes with ease. TIP: There is a carbon filter on the top (with a cute little plastic bear cut-out!), take it out and trace the same circle on a few pieces of bamboo or microfiber (because they are highly absorbent) in whatever color you want to show through the bear cut-out. Buy some of your favorite essential oil and soak your disks in it - then simply place over the carbon filter and change whenever you empty your pail. It will smell wonderful (though it sill smells fine without the cloth disks)!!!

I bought this pail with the diaper rental service I was using. I was able to store 80 OsoCozy Better Fit Unbleached Prefolds (Infant 4x8x4 Fits 6-16 lbs.) - Dozen in this container. Now that I wash my own diapers, I use considerably fewer and just wash every few days. Size-wise, this is a solid choice. To contain the smell I use both Citrus Circles Diaper Pail Deodorizing Disks (makes smell tolerable when you lift the lid) and Odorless Cloth Diaper Pail Filters - 4 pack (allows the air to circulate out of the pail, without smelling up the whole room). The lid of this container has a compartment for each.

The con? The lid has to be lifted with your hand-a pedal would be nice. But, as it is, maybe that is one less spring or feature to break. The lid is pretty heavy for that type of pail design.

This pail works great! I started out using a wetbag, and 6 months in needed to buy a new one as the inside layer started to crack and leak moisture and odor. I have 2 kids in cloth diapers, and if i had to, i would be able to fit 2 day's worth of diapers for both kids in the pail. I'll never go back to wetbags!

We have seen a drastic decrease in cloth diaper smells in the nursery after switching to this pail. Another review noted that when you open the pail it stinks a lot, and ours does too, but I think that's simply because you have a lot of icky diapers in it. We've tried the Rockin Green Shake it Up! Pail Freshener - Rage Against the Raspberries in the Natural Baby scent, but haven't noticed much of a difference when we open the pail.

All in all, it keeps the smells in the pail. I've set it outside to air out a few times in between uses.
We use it with the PlanetWise wet bags.Planet Wise Diaper Pail Liner (Avocado) I think these work wonderfully together. We can get about 2 days worth of diapers in the pail.

After trying the normal closed trash can option, this by far is our favorite choice for diaper pails.

Also, we love the handle the clasps on so that our pets can't go searching in the pail.

Enjoy!

I thought the carbon filtered air hole would allow air to circulate in this bin but it doesn't. Having cloth diapers in a closed container for 2 days causes a potent foul stench that the recommended orange discs cannot conceal. Wish I hadn't spent so much on this.

Can't get too exciting for a diaper pail - the charcoal filter allows the diapers to breathe while keeping the room fairly smell-free. It says 1-2 days, but I usually get 2 1/2 out of it. I have had it in use for 6 months and haven't had to change the filter yet. It's everything I expected it to be.

so, I insisted on purchasing this odorless diaper pail (not cheap) for our first. I like it has a carbon filter. I really like it has locking handles to keep walking baby hands out. Unfortunately, the plastic absorbs the poop odors and starts to literally ooze poop smell. I am not exaggerating. Our whole upstairs smelled of poop for months upon months. I tried baking soda. I tried airing it. I tried scrubbing it. I tried essential oils (basically smelled like lime scented poop). I tried odor bag with dry coffee grounds, smelled like coffee poop. When breastfed poop, it didn't smell to my recollection. But after solids, you couldn't stand it, my husband commented regularly on it, and only brave people could add a diaper because of the mind numbing stench when the lid was opened. It would linger in air for five full minutes post opening it. My extra bags I put at the bottom even absorbed the odor. I hate this expensive stinky pail. When my child toilet trained, happiest day of our lives. We are expecting number two, and I started looking for another diaper pail solution. I saw this pop up in suggestions and had to post my review.
